I wish Kopi's shot at the empty net would have went in. One more goal so at the end of the year his stats would look a little better and people would stop crapping on him

Sad that he needs an ENG in a meaningless game for people to stop crapping on him, don't you think?

It's a damn shame. 5 or 6 more wins against some really ****** teams that this team pissed away and they'd be in. For the best I guess.
 
Leaning against trying to re-sign Iginla next year. Love the guy but be real, how long before the Kings' system beats his scoring touch out of him?

How many of his goals have been right in front of the goalie? Those are textbook Kings system goals that have been missing all season long.

I kind of hope that nashville make a meal of it qualifying (even if we don't squeak in) just to make the remaining games somewhat meaningful.

I was watching the 2012 cup dvd yesterday, it's amazing seeing how hard to play against we were, just physically dominant. Brown was ****ing awesome. Really quite sad to see some of our guys on the decline. Seeing guys like Stoll, Richards, Mitchell and Jdub really made it sink in how much talent and leadership we have lost over the years.

Perhaps this is what its like being a nucks fan watching the sedins fade out, so glad that we got our 2 cups while at the top of our game.

Funny, I was watching the game with my wife and said the exact opposite. Kopitar needs to own his numbers this season. I don't want his stats padded at all.
 
The dream remains alive for another day!

Those two regulation losses to the Canucks this year are pretty big. 2-2 and Vancouver, 2-1-1 against Arizona, 4-3-1 in 8 games against 2 of the 4 worst teams in the league. That's 7 possible points the Kings didn't get. They're 8 points behind Nashville. They would still be behind them, but would realistically be in this thing with those not stretching the bounds of imagination 7 extra points.

Nashville has a home game against the Wild, and a road game against the Blues, before the Kings play again. The Wild want to get back on track, and the Blues probably want to avoid the Hawks if they can, so they might both play to win. It looks like the Kings can't be eliminated tomorrow even if Nashville wins. This will either be the last weekend of the season for scoreboard watching, or just the end of the beginning of scoreboard watching.
