12-0-2....12-1-1, hottest team in the league right now and still missing Tucker Poolman. Unreal
This team is so good right now!
-I dont really care who the Avs face in the playoffs if they play this good
-The team is deeeeeeeep. No Gabe ,Manson, Kivi, Johnson and Vesey in the lineup.
-Avs have propably the best backup in the league if BW gets hurt
-Dont fire Bennet I guess ??!? PP is actually great...
-All the pickups at the dealine have made Avs scary to play against
-Malinski has developed so nicely behind Makar and Girard to a offensive threat.
You just have to feel good at the moment with Avs rolling like this towards the playoffs![]()
He is blowing up. We must re-sign him right now while the price is low.I think Cale Makar was double shifting tonight with Sam Malinski's jersey. What got into that dude since the trade deadline?
What a weird comment. Your 2nd bullet point name drops Landeskog who hasnt played in 3 years, Manson who has played less than half the games, Johnson who has been back with the team for 5 minutes and on the decline, and Vesey?! Sorry but this seems like a reach and a little bit desparate to make a point. The most valid namedrop here is probably Kiviranta, who has been a steady in the lineup.
Also, Malinski behind Makar and Girard as an offensive threat? Since when is Girard an offensive threat at all, let alone being mentioned with Makar?
I hope we give him a cup ring12-1-1, hottest team in the league right now and still missing Tucker Poolman. Unreal
The college FA signings for the Avs have been better than a lot of their late round drafting, so F them picks. He is blowing up. We must re-sign him right now while the price is low.
thats when the rock n roll was born according to ACDC...I'm only 38 but sometimes I feel like I was born in 1955.
They're too similar with handedness and skillset etc. Sometimes im like wondering if its a good thing to have them on the same PP when Mack seems to be rotating quite a bit but then again the opponents are on the edge when theres Nathan Mackinnon flying around and youre trying to penalty kill thatNecas is 100% better away from MacKinnon. I feel like when those two are together they're almost fighting over the puck.
Practicing with / watching Makar play every day has certainly rubbed off on Malinski. He's been great. Is anybody else really impressed with Malinski 's play lately? He's not top pairing material or anything, but for somebody slotted in as the 5D he's really making an impact on both sides of the puck. I think he would be exposed if he played 20 minutes a night, but in his role on the bottom he's been really solid.
You've identified what is making our PP more dangerous these days- MacK, Necas, and Makar, are all moving around the zone and it drives the other team to madness. With Nuke in the goalies face creating havoc. They're too similar with handedness and skillset etc. Sometimes im like wondering if its a good thing to have them on the same PP when Mack seems to be rotating quite a bit but then again the opponents are on the edge when theres Nathan Mackinnon flying around and youre trying to penalty kill that![]()
He is now playing with NHL quality partners, and he's been in the NHL for a full season now and the experience and learning is showing up in his game. He's always been a smart player, but as a 2nd year player he needed time to mature as a player. Playing behind other talented guys allows him to shine, and he'll likely develop some more in the next couple of years. Is anybody else really impressed with Malinski 's play lately? What I appreciate about Necas is his hand-eye coordination in close to the net, his first goal last night was indefensible.

They tried Nelson there for a few games and the powerplay turned to shitTotally agreeIf we wanna build one perfect PP line, I'd switch Drouin to Nelson, that man can shoot almost like Rantanen. Mack(flying around), Necas (shooting from the Ovie spot), Nichuskin (net front), Nelson (Rantanen's shooting spot), and Makar (on the blueline quarterback)
that is like a 2 min survival situation for the opponent team
