GDT: Kings at Wild tonight.

I hope we re-sign Kap because this team is so damn boring to watch otherwise.
It’s scary to think about. But this team has always looked bad without Ek. And to a lesser extent, Brodin.

I’m confident Buium will have a Faberesque or Hutsonesque impact right away. Kid toys with college competition and moves the puck unlike any D we’ve had since Burns left

Hoping denver gets bounced early in the tournament.

You could see at WJC's that Buium was more of a all round Dman than the younger Hutson, who shone brighter as on offensive option. It's hard to compare to Faber, looking at their respective college careers, as Faber didn't play the PP, and was used as a defensive option. Faber looks to be bigger and stronger than Buium, as well as a stronger skater, and a better defender. Buium looks to have decent but not outstanding physical tools, but he still has time to get stronger. The hope is that his intangibles(decision making, mostly) elevate him into a top 3 Dman.

You can't argue with Buium's production in college, but some of the things I see him do will be hard to replicate in the NHL. He reminds me of Makar in the Ozone, but doesn't have his wheels, which is a major factor in Makar's success.
