That's an awful penalty. Hate that in the game. Man up and stay on your skates. Maybe he was buying one - but I hate it.
 
Just checked some boxscores. In the Pens' 33 games this season, they have allowed goals:
- 3 times in the first minute
- 5 times in the first 2 minutes
- 9 times in the first 3 minutes
- 10 times in the first 4 minutes

EDIT: Also, in 16 games (out of 33), they've allowed goals in the first 9 minutes of the game.

Lordy. Are those figures built upon each other? Do the 3 in the first minute also count in your count of 10 in the first 4 minutes, etc.?

Given that we can’t hold a lead either and routine blow games we’re leading in the third, maybe we’re better off for this lol
 
Crazy that despite how shitty the team is this year, if Sid was playing like he did last year they would be in a playoff spot
 
Kings don’t even have to bother to generate shots….1-0 lead and they know the Pens will never produce a goal lol

That was brought up a lot last year - in the sense that they were basically throwing it away.

In fact, Hayes on TSN first [I believe] brought up the 'trade Crosby' campaign for that very reason. He was having a historic career and points were being made that the team as a whole was only getting worse (not just getting older, but markedly worse) - and he should go somewhere competitive while he's still in great form.

This year - it's whatever. If he were on a tear, I'd be curious to imagine how that would be possible with the way these lines are often configured. Two separate convos here though.
