agreed.
this isn't some elite level prospect, never has been that, or really shown an elite skill-set or traits with the puck. he's damn near UFA age and is a bottom pair guy it's one of the longest leashes tbh that i can remember in recent history for any team for an own-drafted dman of his level. like you said the time, and opportunity-cost foregone for him is wild. Samberg came in at a lesser draft pick and absolutely schooled Stanley on how to play up the depth chart & improve each year to a legit stud dman. stan on for Stan i guess :dunno:
Stanley’s ineptitude is so great that he got @DRW204 and @surixon to agree 😍

I'm sure there is some of that as well but to me if this was his plan all along he probably didn't give himself enough runway for chemistry to really develop heading into the playoffs.

But we shall see how it continues to unfold.
Reg season play doesn't require that plan - but the back stretch might.
I really don't know what he is up to but it looks like am adjustment and sometimes those are not planned.
I do know that we have struggled in the past with PO preparation - so maybe this is a form of that and better now than never.

So you're convinced that the Jets are destined to fail based off of the last couple of years in the playoffs, but playoff futility since, we'll be generous and say 2005, means they're destined to win?

Also did you know the Leafs are 1-2 against Washington this year while the Jets are 2-0?
Yes, I think the Leafs have a better team than the Jets do and the Jets needed OT to beat Washington both games but I was happy they did.
I can still be a Jets fan and think another team will win the cup. Apparently, you do not think the same and many of you try to chase away posters with different opinions.

I thought kc was fine Schief wasn’t finishing. There is a reason Iafallo isn’t a top 6 guy.

Give Pionk what he wants rather than miller in top 4.
Yeah i think we're seeing a bit of what it'll be like without Pionk. Finding a suitable replacement via FA or off season trade will be very difficult.

Pionk does a lot for this team and is pretty underappreciated.

Maybe one day Salo will be the guy but looking at our D development curve it's at least 3 years away.

IF you have to overpay a player via legacy contract, the pionk situation is one where you just do it, and deal with the mess in a few years after the Jets window is closed.

I'd be fine with Demelo, Salomonsson, Miller and Schenn down the right next year, if Pionk's demands are excessive.

Salomonsson imo is probably a better player than Pionk by the end of year 2 of Pionk's next contract. Would Pionk be 3RD by his 3rd year? Or would Demelo be gone by then? Tough call. One thing for certain, we should draft some more D.
