I don't know if Chevy has the stomach for another deadline deal rental this year and a player with term might cost more than he wants to deal away

Its only really worked once, and even that was a half assed excursion into 4th line land. So, yeah perhaps Chevy declines to, yet again, option for the big catch.

I have been saying this all season and got roasted for it. They will have a good regular season but winning a game let alone a game will be difficult without some upgrades on the second line and defence. Connor and Ehlers both disappear in these games unless it is the pp.
It is time to use Ehlers equity to see what he can bring back in a trade.

I'm not getting a D man that isn't at least as good as Sammy and/or Pionk...why? We have enough 3rd pairing D men.
2C is a must if you ask me. Maybe bring Lambo up and give him another shot at it or trade Ehlers in a deal for one?

our 3rd pairing d man are fine in a 3rd pairing role but I would want somebody better that can step into the top 4 incase of injury and I don't think we have anyone capable of doing so

I'd be okay with Dumoulin or Provorov but I'd like to get back something a bit better and with term.

He tried last year before the deadline but it didn't work out, as I've said before I'm not Chevy's biggest supporter but I'll wait to see what he will do with Nik, that might be the first domino before the deadline because in all probability he knows Niks intentions with either re signing or walking to free agency.

Lambert, Nino and a 1st for Cozens.
I can't see Cozens costing that much.. and that's a lot for Mikey Anderson?

I am not convinced. Ehlers is a great player during the regular season but he is not going to re-sign so why not explore his value?

The team has playoff aspirations and trade deadline deals usually don't make the team trading the player better right away.

Well, that GDT was quite an adventure, my "F5" key certainly got a workout that's for sure. Not expecting any fixes for the message board for the next game either.
