Scheifele and Connor needed to line change earlier in OT… ah well.

I really didn’t think there was any point the kings were the better team. They were rock solid defensively so we put in A LOT of work in the o zone without getting rewarded with the center of the ice until late in the game but I’ll take putting in work in the o zone over the alternative.

They probably feel like they are the only ones who can score, which will bite the team as they cheat for offense.

kings are the best defensive team in the nhl so this was always going to be a low event grind of a game, samberg showed no rust in his first game back which is great, really need more from the 2nd line at some point this season

Inexplicable from Connor and Schiefele in OT not changing when having the opportunity. Instead Scheifele was gassed and Connor changed away from the play just in time not to get the minus.

Could be but still no excuse to stay on for over a minute. They did almost end it but selfishness took over

I thought so during the initial look but looking at the replay it was a clean play. The guy had 1 foot on the other side and was not involved in the play, well withing the 5 feet guideline

That’s not how the rule is written, though. If both player entering and exiting the ice are still one the ice at the same time, neither one can play the puck.

Nice to see Samberg back and playing well, Comrie just has a black cloud over the team whenever he plays, but Nik has to play like a guy looking to get paid in the off season

Yes, that's what was disappointing. They know possession is the name of the game in OT. They had opportunity to change with possession instead of this.
Happy we got a point. LA are a tough out.

I've always been a big supporter of Apples but If I'm Chevy, I'm signing Iafallo way before Apples...when he gets back I think Iafallo has taken his spot. Not as fast but way smarter and he never stops. As smart defensively as Copp was.
3 x 2.75m-3m is what I'd offer him.

Comrie had a great game...wish I could say the same for Ehlers. Time to move Ehlers to shore up other areas. Getting tired of watching what he can do every 6 or 7 games IF he stays healthy. Bring up Loosh or Lambo or Chibs or someone to play on the 2nd.

Sammy was okay for his first game back.

59 points so far are pointing to another stellar regular season but is this team built for the playoffs and a long run I think most would say probably not the way they are currently constructed.

Ehlers, on the other hand, was trash today.

They know. They probably feel pressure as in if they don’t score on pp or 5 v 5 they probably feel like the team can’t score, which is unacceptable, but, one possible thing that could have got into their heads.

Scheifele and Connor had two chances to win the game and Keumper made the saves seriously are they suppose to change when LA has the puck.
Question who scored to tied the game?
LA plays a checking / boring game waiting for a team to made a mistake … I don’t call that a dominating game.
Jets need to learn to go to the net and the D men need to put the puck on the net and not blast it. It’s a lot easier to defect a shot when it’s not going 95 mph.

Loss sucks in of itself, but losing on the night Helle is being honored? Now that REALLY sucks.
These home games so far have been mediocre to crappy.
