You realize the only people that work with Sweet Baby Inc. are the people that choose to pay Sweet Baby Inc for their input, right?

It's not like a dark cloud comes over the horizon and covers a developer and then a demonic voice tells them how things will be done from now on.
Tbh a lot of it is due to rent-seeking behavior by DEI consulting firms, a tactic they openly talk about, but let’s play along and say for a second it’s not.

It still makes games cringe. It creates a noticeable, purple haired aura to the games that’s just distracting. You could have a supervillain that wants to take over the world, but he’s not evil enough to not be a feminist.

Out of all the games those morons would "consult" I'd think this one is way far down the list, Jesus Christ be praised.

I remember someone was doing a Game Of Thrones total conversion but quit in protest of Trump getting banned from Twitter, lol

Great game, hated the abrupt ending, obviously for a sequel, so glad it finally is getting one

Late March / Early April. Got our first Ultrasound appointment Tuesday, then we should have a better idea.

I might have to break my own rule about buying a game early after release to try to get it done before it happens!
"Honey, it's time!"
"Can it wait? I need to save and I don't have any Saviour Schnapps."

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is only $2.99 on Steam for the next 44 hours. Jump on this if you're on PC and haven't played it yet or have family/friends who haven't.

Edit: The sale has ended. It goes on super sale every few months, though, so there will be other opportunities to get it cheap before the sequel comes out in February.

3$ for that game is criminal. One of the best RPG and immersive experiences I've ever had gaming.

Reviews for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II are out.
IGN and PC Gamer both gave it 90/100 and, at Metacritic, it has 87/100 for the PC version and 88/100 for the console versions. A lot of the reviews say that it's even better than the original. Speaking of which, the original has only 68-76/100 at Metacritic, probably because it launched with major performance issues and bugs, so this might mean that KCD II is more polished at launch than KCD was.

The second game is the studio's vision fully realized. The first game was a Kickstarter project and they ran out of money so they had to cut a lot of things they wanted to implement in the game like blacksmithing and crossbows.

They had no such limitation this time which is why people describe it as the first game but bigger and with more polish which is all fans wanted.

This is really good news. Even low-end GPUs like the GTX 1060 6GB can run it at 60fps (at 1080p Low settings) and there's no shader compilation stuttering. This is far better performance at launch than KCD had. Also, it's funny compared to Starfield. When that came out, an RTX 4090 managed only 90fps at native 1080p Ultra settings, whereas a 5090 is doing double that at native 4K Ultra settings in KCD II. This is on PC, but how well optimized this game appears to be also bodes well for consoles and is especially good news for the Series S.

The engine Bethesda uses is ancient and is based on an engine that was created over twenty years ago. It was never meant to handle the graphics and complexity of the games of today.

That is why i absolutely have no confidence that The Elder Scrolls VI will be good as they stubbornly want to keep using their outdated engine. They have no chance of competing against the offerings of companies like Larian and Warhorse.

Well, CryEngine is over 20 years old, as well, and the current iteration (CryEngine 5), which KCD II uses, is 9 years old. The current iteration of Bethesda's engine (Creation Engine 2) is only 1.5 years old, since it debuted with Starfield. So, I'm not sure that age is the primary factor here. It may just be that Bethesda's engine isn't very good and/or their devs aren't very good at optimizing it. That's just as good of a reason to be worried for The Elder Scrolls VI, though.

Creation Engine 2 is based on Gamebryo which was already started showing it's limitations in the days of Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Fallout 4 using it was already pushing it. Starfield proved how it could simply not keep up anymore.
