And the McDavid-less Oilers outclassed 1st place Washington, but couldn't put pucks by Thompson who was fumbling rebounds all game. It happens, and I'm not looking to relitigate the Caps game, but comment on how this team can run with anyone in the league.

Yeah he’s not wrong about the owner, but even at the time (when the Oilers were mid-DoD and the Canucks were going into the shortened season as the reigning President’s Trophy winners), I thought the arrogance was a bit rich coming from a fan of the Canucks franchise.
I actually enjoy their playoff intro to Where the Streets Have No Name and Bure was exciting but other than that I can’t think of a single interesting or noteworthy thing about them.

I know Pickard has a higher save % lower GAA and way higher win percentage which makes sense we have a wagon of a team.
Not my fault Skinner is the worst player on this team and it’s not even close.

I mean when you put it that way, they should probably just apologize to the league for fluking and giveaway some points.
Sitting in front of a few of them last night was an experience. They were full marks for being classic Nuck dumbasses. The cherry on top of a long night of stupidity was one of them saying it was because of the officiating lol.
Great team game from almost everyone, but a few guys stuck out.
- Leon, obviously. Don't need to say anything more.
- Perry had his best game as an Oiler. He ratted it up, but also was making it happen with the puck down low and in front of the net. Unfortunate that he didn't end up with one or two himself.
- Nurse was awesome again, in all facets. Brining a mean streak again, and his reads, for maybe the first time in his life, are pretty much always bang on.
- Pickard was awesome. I still don't think there is any sustainability to his game, but I think it could be worth playing him Saturday and seeing how it goes. Giving Stu some games off after a few bad ones is probably smart.
- Philp was also great. Moves well, tracks the puck well, sees the ice well, and was very effective on the forecheck.
Cheers to the Nuck clowns that are about to exit the wagon if they haven't already.

Should give a dozen of our points to Canucks.
They have a legit franchise goalie, solid bottom 6 and a great defense.

He fits in better on PP than Arvidsson.
RV plays a more traditional left circle role, but that doesn't really fit with how the OIl like to use the LW side. Skinner lets them run their usual 3 LHS rotating through the slot and wings; And to his credit, he did well to understand when to jump in and when to stay wide.
I also think a 6'3, 200+lb Philp is a far better fit at centre for him vs. Henrique.
