Well, turning your back is kinda correct, I mean that is the country you grew up in and I think that you should play for them no matter the conditions.

I just dont think its turning his back on the country. In 2002, they were unorganized and a main reason why they won bronze. I also think he wanted Fetisov running things so they would have an NHL coach. They dont even have a gm or a head coach yet. If its the coachs name that starts with a T he doesnt like, itd be ********. It took him 10 years to get his gold metal after that coach wouldnt give it to him. Thats a slap in the face and I'm surprised hes played for them after that incident. Khabi has played for them on numerous occasions and this tourney isnt that big of a deal. It is an unorganized team right now and Khabi has a point in not playing. Its his choice.

Interesting. Our local paper said they couldn't get in touch with him and all they printed was speculation instead of his thoughts on the subject, kind of disappointing.
