Keys to beating Tampa Bay in the first round

Okay, here's my own contribution as to the keys to producing in Playoff:

1- Secondary Scoring
2- Secondary Scoring
and, most important:
3- Secondary Scoring

Both teams have an elite top offensive line, and thus a LOT of work will be spent into shutdowning it. This is why I believe our bottom-6 will have to pick up the pace and dominate. Same for THEIR bottom-6.

1) Plex and PK needs to do to Stamkos what they did to Crosby
2) The defence needs to be faster to counter Tampa's speed
3) Price needs to outplay Bishop
4) Quick transistion game/quick strike offence

Maybe he knows three times more about hockey coaching than you ever hope to learn, and thus actually know what he's speaking about instead of just being an armchair coach. We need to kee playing the way we are right now, get pucks to the net and try to deflect them. Sharper defence then last game vs them.

Stamkos and PK are buddies from way back. PK will take a lot of pride in shutting him down. The question is: Will he get that match-up?

If we do get home ice, those will be the most two important games in the whole series. I think that if we play well and score in bunches against Bishop in those games, it'll get into his head. But if we're stymied against him like we have been all year, it'll get into ours.

Even if we shut down Stamkos, it's still not a sure bet. I don't like this first round matchup.

Every team currently has multiple scoring threats. Facing another team will not change anything in this regard. Although, shutting down Stamkos will go a long way. We still need to keep Callahan, Filppula and Palat on a leash.

I bet they're wondering who on our team they need to shut down.

Same thought process would be going for any other team we could have faced.
