I agree. About Patty’s opinion that is, not the length of my response.

My only take on why he wasn’t good at his job is not understanding the plans of the man he hired to be his GM. It’s still is crazy to me it took only 1-2 months for Murray and Patty to butt heads over the rebuild.

Not sure if this post will cause issues, but I always thought there was more behind the scenes than just organizational philosophy, hence the heavy NDAs going out the door and subsequent radio silence from everyone. I know nothing about any of this, just rumors about rumors...

Considering the amount of rumors about that time frame, what you’re alluding to could be many things.

i had heard from a few people i know (who had/have access) is that Lafontaine and Kim Pegula were butting heads around every single corner, and Lafontaine reached the end of his rope, essentially made them choose who the president of the franchise was, NDAs, then gone. It had nothing to do with Miller, he was getting traded anyway, regardless.

Neither version has been verified by anybody publicly.

While you aren't wrong that he is a yes man. he wasn't hired for his resume, he was hired for his willingness to do whatever the Pegulas tell him.

And there is value to that, especially to the Pegulas.

But....financially, they are in an untenable position.

They have to do constant promotions to get fans into the building. They are playing to the 3rd lowest % attendance in the league. They brought in a new COO and VP of Business Operations to try to fix that. The Pegulas see first hand how much local fans are willing to spend for a winner. But...as long the Sabres aren't competitive....they won't be able to sell tickets at full price. They are also close to losing an entire generation of fans. Fans under the age of 21 likely don't have any good memories about the Sabres.

They hired him to save the Pegulas money. He's costing them money. That is why he will get fired.

Nah... they brought in a new COO because the last one couldn't keep his pecker in his pants.

I heard it revolved around trying to fire Conehead as a cost saving measure.

You guys just won't believe me about him saying "f***" too much around her. Oh well.

If Kevyn Adams had any dignity he would resign.

So we know he doesn’t. Along with brains, balls and qualifications.

Good day for people to try and tell me it isn’t about the money again.

No respectable GM will run an office as lean, agree to the cap restrictions, and placate this f***ing loser owner

So there is Kevyn Adams

Regressing twice in years four and five…returning to keep overhead low.

The good news is, frank seravelli is about as plugged into the Sabres front office as Ryan O'Reilly's love of the game.

Best case scenario at this point is either another team sees the masterful job he's done with Buffalo's rebuild and lures him away for big money, or Terry moves him up the corporate ladder to take some heat off him.

Yes, those are BEST case scenario's.

Honestly a decent couple days of business for Adams. Glad he did not move Greenway and Zucker for something we don't need more of and got them signed to both 2 year deals.

We'll see how the Cozens trade pans out but it was time and I'm interested to see how Norris changes the complexion of the team.

If Norris playing on the right halfwall sparks the PP1...
