Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. They simply don’t have a GM capable of running a f***ing Dairy Queen
If I’m another GM and he’s wasted my time for five years…I’m just don’t picking up the phone. Which…actually would explain a lot about how a guy in year five does nothing while his team falls to last place.

After five years of this two things have become unbelievably, undeniably true
Improving the roster and ever getting good is impossible because it ranks well behind financial decisions on and off the ice AND fear of people mocking a move they make. Adams just threw out at his disaster presser that he had a deal people would have been mad at him for if he’d done it. Now other front offices are telling Friedman that he’s a scared little bitch.
This is never turning around with this unqualified nutless puppet.
So…when people say it will be the same no matter who is GM because of the more important financial pinch of the grifter owner…I disagree. Because someone else, even with the constraints in place to prevent turning this around, will do f***ing something
Not to mention…the cap is going up. Which…for our purposes in Pegulaville means the cap FLOOR is going up. Someone is going to have to spend the extra money. By rule. Mark my words…no one will do it worse than Kevyn Adams
I'm not certain this is a bad thing.
Guy got into a pissing match with a 24 year old franchise center, put his career on hold for 6 months, and stripped him of his captaincy for no good reason other than to be spiteful. He then traded a future 50 goal scorer for a prospect and a pick at the ripe old age of 25 because he choose to bridge him.
Both those players have been key members of cup winning teams.
Adams biggest accomplishment is missing the playoffs by a little bit in a league where half the teams make the playoffs.
Do we REALLY want him out there wheeling and dealing? When the prices are the highest and he's shown a horrible lack of being able to identify the teams needs?

The problem is that he isn’t going anywhere. And his CHOICE to not make moves is part of the reason why. He’s decided that it’s easier to sell being impossible to make moves in Buffalo than being judged for making the wrong ones. Which means…and this is why he shouldn’t just be fired but barred from ever setting foot in this town again…that even when he has conviction that a move will improve the team…he first thinks “what will it cost” because he is forced to…and then thinks “what will people think of me if this backfires”. And then he chooses to blame palm trees and taxes.
and yet…he made a trade last year. He moved Mittelstadt who has lowered his value since for Byram who has raised it. So you may ask yourself…why wasn’t he gun shy then? It was a big move.
Always look to number one. Mittelstadt needed to be paid. And they already paid Tage and Cozens. Casey had arb rights having completely outplayed Cozens that year and stepped up for Tage with his injuries.
Now let’s sit back and see what happens with Byram who needs to be paid, has arb rights and they’ve already paid Dahlin and Power.
I can’t wait.
@TehDoak I see you bringing up the C repeatedly. He wasn’t coming back and had quit on the team. There is no reason to pander to that guy in the least. There wasn’t then, there isn’t now. They also didn’t do it until the season was set to start - way, way down the garden path. Considering how much being captain mattered during Jack’s 2nd contract negotiations, and how f***ing terrible he was at it and as a person around the team, it should’ve never been his.
I get that you have a well rehearsed set of gripes about Adams, but that one in particular doesn’t hold up.

I bring up the captains C because there was no reason to do anything other than to be petty. They didn’t name a captain. Could have just went in with 4 As like they did and let it resolve naturally when they traded him.
How they handled the Eichel situation was shameful at the time and has turned the Sabres from a a ‘tough sell’ trade destination to a ‘lol no’ destination.

He was a player who wasn’t returning to your organization who had negotiated for the captain C and then quit on the team. It was completely appropriate to take the seat away from him. I get that about every six weeks you need to rehash the same narrative over and over and over again. Yes Terri sucks. Yes Kevin sucks and yes, Jack is a massive f***ing douche bag. All three can exist in the same timeline.

The White Sox have better odds of winning the World Series than either of them have of not being back next season.
Maybe if we weren't the youngest roster in the league, yet again, we wouldn't have lost 13 games in a row and we'd still be in the hunt. That's completely on Adams.

Everyone can see Power needs a partner. 2 2nds gets you Marino(.as example) Its not expensive to get a defensive defenseman to partner with Power.
Yet Adams is absent.

Kevyn is a bigger f*** up than Chia. His entire tenure has been the Radio City Christmas Spectacular of failure yet he's in no danger of losing his job.
I think the youth season after season is negligent and should result in Adams being fired. Peterka, Quinn, Power, Samuelsson, Benson, Kulich, Cozens, Byram, Krebs, Dahlin. All 24 and under! No successful team I can remember in the last 20 years has had a roster like that.
Let's look at the top of the conference to see how many players under 25 on the rosters:
Leafs - 2
Panthers - 3 (one is their backup goalie)
Lightning - 3 (one is bottom pairing D, one is 4th line F)
Capitals - 3 (all are 24yo)
Hurricanes - 4
Devils - 6 (Nemec and Casey have bounced between leagues, one is their backup G)
So it seems like usually you only want 1 or 2 players under 25 in a top 6 or top 4 pairing role. The Sabres have 7, arguably 8! Did Adams think he was smarter than everybody? What exactly did he think was going to happen?
