All these potential internal hires scare me even more. What if Karmanos is singing along with Adams and agrees with him on how to build the team, or even more so Forton, who loves the draft and the young guys he has selected. At least do it right once in so many years.

No, if we wait until june we can have a crappy improvised draft and then a year of evaluation before his replacement acts (minor trade for 4th liner).

Firing him now makes more sense than in the summer. The new GM will have more time to evaluate the team and its problems.
Sabres are 3-4 since their meeting with Pegula before the Montreal game.

If Benson was such a slam-dunk pick, then why did 12 other teams pass on him?
And yes, Kevyn has had good picks. Quinn was a fine 1st rounder, especially now that he's removing his head from his ass. JJP was a good 2nd rounder. Poltapov looks like a promising 2nd rounder. Novikov is likely to play NHL games, which is great for a 6th rounder. Kozak could possibly be a long-term 4th liner for us, great for a 7th rounder. Kulich looks like a steal at 28. Komarov also should play NHL games, which is great for a 5th rounder. Wahlberg and Strbak look like good 2nd round chocies. Way too early to tell for 2024, but Helenius and Ziemer are promising.

Well, or not. Even Karmanos has some experience in the front office and I don't know how much Adams listens to him. Well, Kevyn just built a shitty young team and doesn't want to do anything, the worst GM in the league.

I don't think it'll matter.
If that 13 game losing streak.....during which we looked incompetent half the games.....wasn't enough, I honestly don't know what is.
I think the only way Terry even thinks about a change is if Sabres fans quite literally stop buying tickets and merchandise......but I honestly don't think the fanbase is capable of that.
If people thought that would do it, I'm sure those would already have been attempted.
Sabres fans have lost all hope, and for good reasons.
It makes more sense to fire him now, so the new GM can be part of the draft process, and scout the team’s needs for free agency/trades that need to be made to change the composition of the roster.
Maybe Pegula is waiting for the football season to be done. The Bills are a lot of fun and firing your friend is a bummer. Better to wait and not ruin the fun moment the Bills are having. So maybe around mid-March at the latest. Even if the Bills went all the way the afterglow should be fading by then.

It feels like the older players will leave and Adams will replace them with prospects and it will be a vicious circle and next your Buffalo will continue to be the youngest team in the league and a development team for the rest of the NHL.

Pegulas don’t like being embarrassed. Maybe more national PR destroying them and getting them trending will help.
