Realistically, it may get to a point where Adams simply cannot come back.
If:
- The players are unhappy with the direction of the team
- The fans are unhappy with the direction of the team
You can't bring him back. It'll be a diaster in the locker room and the ticket office.
You are heading into a disaster with Adams this summer. He has major RFA (Byram, Peterka, Levi, Quinn) decisions to make. He's cornered himself a bit with the the Norris trade and Zucker/Greenway contracts.
There is a very real possibility that this is a capped out team that in reality won't compete for a playoff spot next year if you bring Adams back.
There is talent here. There are assets here. This is fixable.
Adams has shown that he does not have the plan to make it better.
