If canucks are out of the playoff picture, where do you see them trading Lankinen? Maybe it's just me but I almost find this to be the perfect target for the Oilers. Lankinen-Skinner in the playoffs would make their goaltending go from a place of weakness to strength.

With what cap space, unless they ltir demko?
They would try and find space, I’m not convinced he’s gonna get a huge deal. His profile might be like Stolarz’s was this offseason.

In any case they wouldn’t go into next season with Demko / Silovs if there are big questions re: Demko.

0% they resign him.

1. He’s going to command over 4 million per year
2. They have Silovs and Tolipilo

Only way I could see it is if they move Silovs and resign him before the TDL.

I think they try and re-sign him especially if they are out cause Demko struggles all year
The only reason he waited so long to sign this offseason is because he was looking for a starting role. He's probably proven enough for a team to try him as their starter next year. I doubt he'll extend with Vancouver unless Demko becomes a permanent resident of ltir

Nucks only trade him if he prices himself off the team. Canucks are trying to win and more and more teams are going with 1A and 1B goalies.

He's a #1 (starter) in this league right now. On league minimum he would fetch a premium. If we aren't resigning him then fetch what we can. Easily a min 3rd round pick.

I'd try to resign him, but for the right offer, I'd trade him right now. He's been great for us, he's signed to a steal of a contract, and frankly we don't have to trade him, but we can also let him walk for what we surrendered for him, ride him for the rest of the season, and I wouldn't feel awful, if we don't get a good return.

His value should be quite high as he's shown he can handle a starter's load. With Demko back, I'd prefer to trade him and get another decent pick, I'd think a 2nd would be a great return considering he was a free asset. I actually thought Colorado would have been asking about him before going after Blackwood, but I'm surprised a team like Carolina hasn't reached out considering the injuries they've dealt with to their goaltenders.

Would definitely give up a 2nd from Edmonton, you can have Pickard too if the plan is to let Silovs marinate a little more in the A.
