The rebuild isn't in year 5.What I love about your rebuild is it’s in year like 5 and out of the top six scorers only one is under 28 (would have been 6 of 7 if they didn’t trade Seth Jones).

One place in front of Mike Grier who was hired 4 months afterYou’re right. In three years Kyle has taken the reins and has this team trending towards 31st place.
Sale + MolgaardSeattle would be interested in Korchinski if we think he could be a good two way guy. Not familiar enough with him in the AHL to say that. I know he was mostly an offensive guy in the past though. Could definitely send a forward for him off the prospect list.
At age 20Well, Korchinski wasn't and now he's looking like a fringe middle pairing D-man at best.
Who on earth “pans out” at 20?I don’t believe I said good 2nd pairing guy.
He’s not panning out. It happens. Lots of guys don’t.
Makar wasn't even in the NHL at Korchinski's current age. How is he already being written off?I don’t believe I said good 2nd pairing guy.

What about Slafkovsky from Montreal, for Korchinski and Hawk's 2nd round pick (2025)?
Easton Cowan.
Feel like the Leafs could use another offensive-oriented Dman in their system as Reilly just isn't cutting it anymore.

well the idea is not to trade him for a draft pick but rather an equivalent forward prospect thats around the same part of their development curve...Hawks have a glut of defensemen and a few have already surpassed him on the org depth chartTrading Korchinski for a forward is not a good idea. D takes longer to develop than forwards. Whoever you pick in the next draft (if a F) will peak at the same time as Korchinski.
You trade Korchinski for a F to draft a D and your rebuild just got pushed back by a couple of years
Same result. You’ll end up with an inexperienced blue line and will have the same issues as Buffalo had for years - Too young on the backend and lack of experiencewell the idea is not to trade him for a draft pick but rather an equivalent forward prospect thats around the same part of their development curve...Hawks have a glut of defensemen and a few have already surpassed him on the org depth chart
Maybe something around LaFreniere to Blackhawks and additional pick/players from Blackhawks along with KorchinskiI could see this being a good fit for bolstering the Rangers LHD crop which is really thin. Not sure what CHI would want back because I don’t know of I see a great fit tradewise
Another poster here was wrong in calling him a bottom 6 player but you are just as wrong in calling him a blue chip prospect. He's good, but he projects as a middle 6 player. Blue chip prospects are guys with superstar potential like Demidov or Nikishin. If Easton Cowan was a blue chip prospect there would be at least 50 blue chip prospects outside the NHL.Easton Cowan is a blue chip prospect.
If he's moved It's got to in a package for a top 6 winger or center
Hawks would have the same average age on their blue line if they replace Korchinski with Kaiser or Del Maestro, might actually be a little older because Korchinski is only 20Same result. Yeah but none of Del Maestro or Kaiser will be able to fill Korchinski’s role when he’s mire mature. You are talking about a top 4 D versus depth D.Hawks would have the same average age on their blue line if they replace Korchinski with Kaiser or Del Maestro, might actually be a little older because Korchinski is only 20
that's nuts, he's over-rated and doesn't drive playYou haven't watched enough Misa play yet. I've seen him live a few times and his 2-way game is quite something. I think he could step into the NHL the same way Celebrini did.
Boqvist isn’t even a full time NHL playerJeez, maybe Boqvist or Dach or Reichel
I literally was talking about high first rounders that crashed out in Chicago. You sort of agreed with my point.Boqvist isn’t even a full time NHL player
Dach has had more season ending injuries than Goals in the NHL
Reichel is just a bust not sure how you thought that was a great point to bring up
Yes I forgot Chicago told Kirby to undergo a new scientific procedure and change out every bone in his body for glass Nevermind tell him to continue getting hurt in Montreal to the point even they are done with him.I literally was talking about high first rounders that crashed out in Chicago. Blowing top ten picks is far different than guys being picked with the last pick of the first.Yes I forgot Chicago told Kirby to undergo a new scientific procedure and change out every bone in his body for glass Nevermind tell him to continue getting hurt in Montreal to the point even they are done with him.
They just have told Boqvist to get as many concussions as possible for research purposes as well.
Sometimes first rounders bust as a sharks fan I’m sure you should be aware already wasting picks on Weissblat Merkley and many others only for them to do a whole load of nothing.
