Remember when people around here kept saying that the Kessel trade was one of the worst in Leafs history? I bet the people who used to harp on that all the time would like to forget that.

Worst in leaf history? I remember when there was a long thread asking if it was the worst trade in nhl history.

I'm sure the Sharks are very eager to trade Pavelski for Bozak (if he is the main piece in return)

They way bozo is treated here looks like it will get done lol :sarcasm:

bozak has reached his ceiling and will not be any better (ex: last few games), heck I am almost certain that Bozo will never be 0.7 ppg player for extgended period of time. Time is now to trade his behind.

Give up Bozak + picks and get Pavs

It's interesting to see how some of these teams are playing NHL roster members at the Olympics. Kuli was on the PP working the front of the net- he would never see that kind of usage in Toronto, and we don't have OV, Kovi, Malkin, Datsyuk, etc.

Russia is having trouble scoring, so I'm sure they are just trying to come up with ways to generate offense. Kulemin is a big body who is really hard to move, basically doing the dirty work in front of the net. Malkin, Kovi, Ov and Datsyuk aren't those type of players who just park right in front of the goalie and that being their main job.

We already have JVR on the first PP unit and Lupul on the second doing that with success. Not to take away anything from Kulemin, he's been playing great prior to the break.

Could there be a real positive effect on the way that JvR and Kessel will play for the Leafs in the final 22 games if they win the gold medal? Or is it better if they get eliminated ASAP so that they get some extra rest?

I don't think it will matter either way

Yeh, I remember that one. I was trying to be nice. It's just amazing around here sometimes. It's not like he even had a slow start or anything; he put up points from day one. People just need to complain about something I guess.

I remember a certain poster saying that was the worst day of his life. Worst day of his life...

I was wondering how much would it suck if it were Canada v USA in the final, Kessel scores the GWG to beat Canada and then under performs for the Leafs for the rest of the season.

Man the hate would pour.

I'm so used to watching playoffs/championships/olympics and seeing elite level performances and I've always been envious of other teams cause we haven't had anybody of that caliber.

I hope everyone appreciates how good Phil is.
