Kent Hughes Interview at Processus

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Very little on the current team situation - not sure why.
Are you serious?

When have we ever heard anything substantive regarding particulars coming out of his mouth.
The team has always held their cards very close to their vests regarding their immediate intentions.
They even touched on that point in the interview asking about leaks and the use of media. Kent acknowledged they will leak stuff to the media when it's suits their purposes. Something that was very apparent prior to passing on Michkov. Read into that what you will with the stories coming out on the Evans negotiations or lack there of and the interests other teams are showing in the player.

Okay you’re right, I don’t listen to primary media anymore. Usually I pick up these things from Twitter — hadn’t seen much of any criticism of Slaf since Fall of last year.

If the media is criticizing his party habits I think that’s a very VERY bad sign. Why are the Slaf Fans here in total denial? I don’t understand — are we here a community of Habs fans or Slaf fans?

Aren't you the one that keeps referring to sources regarding Michkov as unreliable, but you feel not listening to bpm rumors is being in total denial ? Geez, I wonder why.

Aren’t you the one buh buh buh bUhhhhh

I don’t listen to BPM, in the post you quote I explicitly say that I don’t listen to any of these things. Like it’s the exact the opposite of what you think you read.

Are you regressing back to toddler age now ? You answered a post specifically about bpm, or did the regressing also come with losing your ability to read ?

This isn’t about facts or fiction; in Montreal the media generally don’t turn on a local player unless they are fully invested in and comfortable in talking badly about the player. If the media have turned on Slaf, things will go from bad to worse for everyone.

If the local media are making claims against Slafkovsky about his PARTY HABITS, the noise won’t go away without him playing better on the ice.

The local media turned on the Kostitsyn, and Galchenyuk, and even Subban, toward the *end* of their tenures in Montreal. Not before the eight year contract has even started.

Doesn’t matter if it’s true or half true or false. If the media is on his ass, the nonstop denialism around Slaf won’t help him or the Habs.

It's funny that he said that the main issue he noticed prior to the Carrier trade was exiting the zone, and how Carrier had a great impact in that regard. Which is 100% true, but we are back to puck chasing mode since that debacle game against the leafs.

We have too many weak and slow players.

What do you know about the media turning on Slaf ? You just said you don't listen to it. Your posts are barely coherent. The media has criticized every player who's had slumps, doesn't matter who, Caufield included.

How many Habs players have been criticized for their party habits this year?

This is why we need to start adding big gritty speed. Our bottom 6 must be hell to play against, i dont care if they score but they must start punishing the opposition in order for our top 6 to stsrt getting space.

Have you heard about such a thing as clickbait? It'll get more clicks to talk about Slaf than Struble.
The media wouldn’t produce clickbait without knowing they can have free punches at the player. I’m familiar with Habs media, that’s why I ignore it ;)

The denialism is stronger than ever

Where am I denying anything? The story barely contains any details
