Kenny Albert to become new permanent voice of NYR

Albert and Faust are two of the best PBP guys in the buisness. Its a shame their talent is wasted on the Rags instead of doing national games
I never understood the Faust love. He sounds like a local news anchor.

Anyways - tough act to follow for Kenny but he's already been involved in the NYR org so easy assignment for them.

He has an easy voice to listen to, he calls an accurate game, and doesn't get overly excited or bias the way a lot of homer announcers do.

I was skeptical about anyone replacing Bob Miller, but Faust was a great choice and I was sad when the Kings let him go

It's a blessing he sounds so much like his father who called so many iconic NBA games. He's got a great voice and I hope he becomes part of the next Eddie O and Doc for national broadcasts and playoff games.

Albert is not bad, but for some reason, he has a problem switching from the slowness of the NFL to the quickness of the NHL. Far from being one of hockey's best PXP, but there are many who are worse.

Albert is awesome, jealous of NYR fans

I was also bummed when the Kings let Faust go...he was raw with his hockey knowledge but he was eager and that takes time/learning, but it seemed like he was just getting into the rhythm and he's a future great imo...I know it didn't seem like it to some at the time but if you go back and listen to his call of some (rare) big moments he's great, reminds me a lot of Joe Davis...typical Kings to jettison a kid :P

I thought he was already. Seems like every game I watch he was. I don’t always watch the rangers versions. I usually pick whatever the broadcast positioned on top.

Not really crazy about him. He’s ok. Weird voice a little, excellent content though.

Albert is great, and I'm sad that they can't get him on the national broadcasts to replace the absolute clownshow going on at ESPN right now.

Kenny is fine. There's nothing wrong with him. He's not exciting, but does a solid job. This was pretty much expected with Kenny being the radio voice of the team.
