Deserved more but I didn't expect him to get a game given the NHL's inconsistency so not a bad result. Hopefully the Kings can take advantage of their defense in game 4 without their #1.
 
That's what you get for being reckless with your stick. Now the Kings should take advantage of the situation and draw even with another big performance at home.

Deserved a few games imo. What he did was brutal. Not sure how any of the head shots deserve more than a game now. It's a joke that a player has to be severely injured to get more than a single game.

I also wanted to see more of a suspension for Kieth trying to be like McSorely. But as others have said, i'm ok with the 1 game given that i was expecting Shanny to give him only a fine.
 
I find it odd that there seems to be so many folks complaining on the opposing side that Jeff Carter deserved a little something as well for viciously slashing Duncan Keith's unprotected hand.

Problem I'm having with that though -- is his hand even injured?

I could be mistaken, but to the best of my knowledge I have not seen him sporting a soft cast, splint, bandage, bruise, or even a band-aid on this supposedly targeted appendage for all the talk it's getting.
 
He hit his glove and he wasn't even looking at him. Obviously that deserves a slash to the face. The main board is stupid. They are still whining about Cartman on the big screen during games.

I'm glad he got suspended. Maybe the Blackhawks will think twice now before taking cheapshots at our players.
 
Weak. If Torres was gone for the remainder for a hockey play, then Keith should be gone for the remainder, and then some, for a non-hockey related attack with a stick.

I'd bet a lot of money that they took game 5 into account on the suspension. If this play had happened on game 2 it would have been 2 games.
 
Should have been 2. Repeat offender (that elbow to Sedin was naaaaaaasty but so was that high stick to Carter).

It is what it is.
 
I'm in the minority here - I thought it didn't merit a suspension since it was clearly a mistake he instantly regretted.*

Also I want the Kings to beat the best team with all their best players.

*I realize the rulebook doesn't say anything about that.
