Just got back from the game. Was a really fun atmosphere in the hanger. A betcha a few of the boys are going out on the town tonight. I hope they don't lose Trouba along the way.

Blasphemous.

When my daughter was four we went skating at St. Vital park. It was blinkin' cold out, sometime in January and after we were done I told her we'd go for hot chocolate. She looked up at me and said " can we go for a slurpee instead?" Proudest day of my life.

My kids do the same thing. -40c and they want a slurpee!

The elbows are kept tucked, but Gudbrandson explodes upward into the hit. Elbows were down, and he lead with his shoulder. Eh, don't think he'll get a hearing for it.

Guaranteed there will be a league review. Match penalty was assessed.

21.3 Reports - The Referee is required to report all match penalties and the surrounding circumstances to the Commissioner of the League immediately following the game in which they occur.

With the way the league is trying to crack down on headshots, wouldn't surprise me one bit if Gudbrandson got suspended for 1 or 2 games.

Funny thing, this was the third match penalty called all year, and the previous two (Desjardins and Backes) were rescinded.

The tide really turned in our favor once Noel took that time out. It really seemed to kick the boys into top gear.

I swear the guy sitting next to me was a scout. He was following Philly on his twitter feed. He said he's going down for some Tampa Bay game as well. He said he was a Jets fan but I could tell he wasn't. He came in from out east for "work". First time at the MTSC. He said he was a Philly fan and I brought up Buff for Simmonds + and I think I kinda took the words out of his mouth. He also seemed to understand hockey at a very high level.

It didn't click until after the game, should've asked him.

why do the officials break up fights before they go?
i get player protection, but ladd dropped the gloves and the refs all cone in to sce the day for gudbranson??

and my last comment

after a good inspection, i can confirm to you folks that #6 (the head ref) is definately a user of illegal substances, i cant tell you exactly which substance is his favorite(probably many, and combos of them, but just by looking at his face you can tell hes into illegal activity(the hard stuff, not the recreacional substances):naughty:

You know, on one hand it might suck that the other teams we're chasing keep winning, but look at it from the other point of view: from where they're sitting, we just keep chasing 'em. And the difference is, they're sneaking out one-goal wins and we're winning convincingly.

Plus, they all have to outrun us.. we only have to catch one of them. And they've got a few games against each other. Sooner or later the infighting will select a "volunteer" to give up their spot for.

Still think the Jets are mathematically a dog to make the playoffs, but I *think* they do control their own destiny in that they can win out and make the playoffs.
