Not sure about Drury. I think he tried to change this going back to last summer. My concern with Drury isn't his past moves. My concern would be is he the guy to rebuild the team for the future.

I'm honestly shocked both are still here. Gorton, JD, and Quinn got the axe for way less. It was basically a horrible loss to Islanders during the playoff chase and the Panarin/Wilson incident that killed those guys.

So far this season we've had:
- Summertime botched Trouba trade
- Trouba and Kreider trade memo fiasco
- Horrible 5-0 no-show loss vs Devils at home
- Horrible 5-0 no-show loss vs Devils in Jersey shortly after that
- League-worst defense all season long
- Inept powerplay
- Horrible blowout losses like the first game back from 4Nations vs. Sabres
- Horrible no-show losses with 13 shots on goal (Flames; I blacked out the other games)

And I'm definitely missing more instances of futility that I can't remember. I guess Drury is still alive because there's no President or potential replacement that can stab him in the back?

Add Housley too to the "fire" pile. He's a large reason this team's defense is dead last in high %scoring chances allowed.

Keep Muse and Peca as caretaker coaches for a young team and bring back Jacques Martin out of retirement to coach the defense again.

This is pretty much it. With each passing season it’s obvious that Dolan just started firing people until he got to the first toady that would do exactly what he wanted.

It’s the only explanation for Drury surviving the culling of a front office that he was also very much a part of.
