Lowe takes 1st fight

2nd fight isn't a fight because he got jumped.

Love how Vinny jumps Lowe in the second fight and starts swinging before Lowe can drop his gloves and stick.... and the Flyers announcers commend him Vinny on being "Great". hahahaha

Lowe should have received 2 minutes for roughing.

Vinny jumped Lowe the second time.

I thought it was pretty classless.

Lecavalier has always been a joke fighter. He got his eye busted up by Jochen Hecht. He's been called gritty his entire career because of one fight with Iginla who is equally as bad at fighting when in reality he's quite soft and lazy.

Vinny showing that Philly class during the second one. For that reason, Im glad he got his ass kicked in the first one.

Bunch of clueless pansy fans posting in this thread.

There is a code, Lowe clearly broke it. He cross checks Vinny four times and then gets the jump on him; you don't pump a old veteran like that, he didn't hold back whatsoever and then skated away like a hot-dog. Should show more respect in your first fight against a typical non-fighter and former superstar.

Vinny took his number and straightened him out. That's old-school classic hockey. If that's how it's done in Philly, then call me a fan.

So Lowe should have rolled over and let Vinny win the first fight because Lecavalier is a former superstar? Lecavalier got embarrassed, and then embarrassed himself further by sucker punching a rookie.

Not really, Vinny decided to just break that guy off the second time. I don't think you understand how little ****s Vinny gives.

Who gives a **** if Vinny jumped on him, the kid gave him a cross check behind the head, and then in the face to start with.

You don't mess with Lecavalier. :yo:

I won't say anything about Vinny cause I never watched enough of his games or fights, but this is one of the most uneducated things I;ve ever read about Iginla.

Yeah. The kid cross-checked him, and Vinny had his chance to fight him, but instead he just got schooled by a rook! Then, to teach him a second lesson (other than a lesson in how it feels to punch a has-been in the face), he takes a selfish instigator penalty with his team down by a goal in the third. What's the lesson there? You can easily rattle these egomaniacal vets into taking dumb penalties, thereby helping your team win.

I've been a huge fan of Lecavalier throughout his career, but this was just sad.

Vinny got schooled by a rookie and then goes and jumps the rookie. Class act...

Oh please. Lecavalier is 34. He might seem like a relic, but that's just because he's been around forever already.

Lowe didn't break any code. Lecavalier was camped in front and got the kind of cross-check that comes with the territory. The only reason it looked bad on the first one was because he was off-balance while tracking the puck, and the second time because he turned to say something rather than digging in.

As far as jumping Lowe, I don't have a huge issue with it if he lets the kid get his gloves off before he starts pumping. But to do it that way was idiotic, and he deserved all 17 of the minutes that he spent off the ice for it.

Oh yeah, Vinny sure showed him.

Lecavalier got worked by a rookie 13 years his junior in his first NHL fight. That's embarrassing.
