I'm not saying he won't, but we'll see what happens.Tiger and changing their stripes and all
I mean, this is half true. From what I understand the last folks in charge of it all tried some ridiculous, half assed scheme to combat the bird flu thing and killed a bunch of the chickens here in the US. Guessing they were trying to offset it by buying them from overseas. Or anywhere else they could get them. The new people that took over had a new plan and it's helped drop prices buy 2/3. I quit eating breakfast about a year or so ago, so I don't really buy eggs much anymore. However due to curiosity, when I walk by them in the dairy aisle, I'll take a look to see what they're at for price at the time.
All of our bad contracts are just placeholders for the kids.
Do we actually think a short-term deal is in play? Something like 4 x $12.5M?
Guerin gets 5 years to get it done or he goes Cup hunting in his 33+ years.
That might be the best for the WildWith rumors that Marner and McDavid are open to the possibility of mid-range deals (~5 years) due to the fast-rising cap (and more player control), it wouldn't surprise me if Kaprizov sees it the same way.
I’d be shocked if he did. Kaprizov’s next contract starts when he’s 30 and he’s an undersized forward who has back to back season missing significant games. His agent is going to want to cash in.With rumors that Marner and McDavid are open to the possibility of mid-range deals (~5 years) due to the fast-rising cap (and more player control), it wouldn't surprise me if Kaprizov sees it the same way.
?Can't imagine why his agent would say Kaprizov deserves less than Elias Pettersson or Panarin in a rising cap environment.
You double dipped on the same reason. If you look at their actual productivity, points per game, Kaprizov is much more productive.Well, Rantanen settled for 12M, is about the same age, has far greater productivity overall, is a Cup winner, and doesn't miss big swathes of games. For a while there, immediately after his trade from CO, he looked exposed, but came storming back with a great playoffs for DAL.
The only team Kaprizov is the 3rd best forward on is Edmonton and that’s because they might have the two best forwards in the game. Comparing Kaprizov to dmen is pointless. We all love Kap, but that's mainly because we have never had an elite talent like him to compare to. On teams like CO or EDM - he would be the 3rd best player, and the 2nd best player on other teams. Again, durability is an important ability. If you aren't on the ice you might as well be Victor Rask - actually those players are better because of the smaller sidelined cap hits.
It's not happening on an 8 year deal.Just saying that the $12.5 AAV is most likely not happening, unless one truly believes he likes playing with Zuccarello and Johansson so much that money isn't an issue.

Also looks right.the 8-year, $97 million deal just feels right
Hmm? He's a top 2 winger in the leagueWell, Rantanen settled for 12M, is about the same age, has far greater productivity overall, is a Cup winner, and doesn't miss big swathes of games.
