I mean Kaprizov is a great player for a team like Minnesota who doesn’t have any other great players.

However, on a team like the Avalanche, he’d be the 4th option, at best. He’s not better than MacKinnon, Rantanen, or Makar. I also don’t think that he’s better than Val, who’s a much more complete player.

Lol wtf are you taking about.

Just sit there and be homer. You might disagree with Val being better, but I don’t see you disagreeing with my previous point.

As good as Kaprizov is, he’d be the 4th option at best on the Avs. He’s a cute player who disappears in the playoffs, but I guess that’s a world-beater for Mild fans.

Aren’t you being a bit generous?

I’m thinking fourth line checking role on the Avs.

Yeah, I'm a "homer" because I think Kaprizov is much better than Nichushkin. Sure.

This isn't basketball, there isn't a "4th option" in hockey.

Kaprizov puts up Rantanen numbers with no MacKinnon and no Makar. Full stop. There isn't an amount of forechecking that makes up for that.
Kaprizov racks up a bunch of stats during the regular season while being the number one option for literally everything in Minnesota. He’s nowhere near Rantanen when it comes to the playoffs, where Kaprizov usually becomes a JAG.

Just for comparison, over the last three years, Val is at 0.87 PPG in the playoffs, while Kaprizov is at 0.63 PPG.

Again, Kaprizov is a cute player during the regular season, but he consistently gets shut down when the games actually matter.

You don't think part of the reason is possibly because team defenses are busy suppressing MacKinnon, Rantanen and Makar, where Kaprizov is the sole focus in Minny?

Stop saying "option". It's idiotic while talking about hockey.

Nichushkin is a passenger. Put him with Hartman, Zuccarello, Rossi, Eriksson Ek, even Boldy, and he's likely neutered.

Kaprizov is a driver. Rantanen is highly likely a driver, though limited ability to see for sure with MacKinnon not missing a ton of games over the years.

You can call it whatever you want, but if he was on the Avs with the game on the line, he’d be ranked 4th, at best, in the players that you want touching the puck.

You still haven’t addressed his playoff woes. How can a player of his supposed stature become a complete ghost come playoff time??

Also, when he gives up the puck, it doesn't go to MacKinnon or Makar, it goes to Spurgeon or Eriksson Ek. Just a slight difference.
Just more excuses. All the great players turn it up when it comes to the playoffs, but Kaprizov turns it down.

He was downright dreadful in his last playoff appearance. 1 point in 6 games is f***ing awful for a supposed superstar!

Speaking of disappearing in the playoffs, didn't Nichushkin actually flat out leave?
Leave....forced out.....in back to back postseasons.

No mention of 7 G in a series the last time he was healthy?

Also, looks like 5th option Kap would’ve been handy today for the Avs. Loss to the lowly Habs. Ouch

It’s actually funny that that deviant is leading golden boy Kaprizov in playoff PPG by almost a third in the last three years. It’s almost like the real men separate themselves from the boys in the playoffs.

Kaprizov’s family even talks about Minnesota being a cesspit…which is a running joke here in Russia, but I’m sure he loves it out there!
I'm sensing some insecurity on your part.....

You watch Nichushkin about as much as the other guy watches Kaprizov
