I regret picking Matthews over him in my pool so far. I had a sneaking suspicion he'd have a crazy year, but how can you bet against a 69-goal scorer?!

Looking like this could be an awards-winning year for Kaprizov if McDavid is out a consequential amount of time.

Like 5 different players have led scoring so far, as it’s really early lol

He’s really great though, I remember he had more even strength points than McDavid a few years back, could have gone off if his team could put together a powerplay

Stone was also interesting leading the other day, Makar as well

Malkin was leading the league in scoring at one point. And there was a thread about it.

Still early, but wouldn’t be shocked if he’s in the Hart conversation at the end of the year. He looks like he has another gear out there, has owned the Lightning twice now.
I think if you’d ask most wild fans they would tell you he still doesn’t look like he’s in mid season form. When he’s healthy and hits his full form he’s dominant and it hasn’t looked that way yet. There’s another gear

He's actually been somewhat snakebitten. He's racking up helpers and getting some goals along the way.

I disagree, somewhat. The skating is there unlike last year after Stanley tried to get a piggyback ride end of previous season.

He looks to me in mid season form, just not shooting as much. I wonder if last season he had a F it, I just need to do it myself to try get the wild back in it.

But he's using his teammates this year, and looks great.

He's going to get $15 million a year.
Still holding up hope for 14.5

I’m not seeing the classic zone cycle and dominant puck possession like we’ve seen. Maybe that is a function of using his teammates more but he doesn’t look likes he’s moving as quickly or as confidently in the ozone as we’ve seen from him yet. Also missing that full stride 10-2 shiftyness that we’ve grown to love.

Maybe, I think it's a function of teammates. He's never had a C that can distribute somewhat like him. The rasks, hartmans and JEE just tried to get to the net and shoot. JEE also never gave up D responsibilities. Rossi has offensive instincts actually. Seen a lot of pretty tic tack goals

Well if that’s the case it’s cool and I like it because we have a 125pt elite player currently and maybe more than that
