Yeah, just 9 games, but 2 PPG still isn't bad. And as far as I understand he's close to set another the Wild record, for consecutive multipoint games.
He's the best we've ever had in a Wild sweater. Not even from a points perspective... dude is constantly doubleshifted and always looks to be giving 100% effort. Will be interesting to see what Billy does with him, it'll be a sad day in MN if we see him on another team

And I remember he was still 17 yo, and nobody gave a f*** for him outside Russia. But in Russia he was considered a future superstar. And then they picked him in the 5th round, lol. With a pick they got from Boston for I don't remember who or what.

Told you people that he would've had Kucherov numbers if he'd played with the same level of teammates as Kucherov. And he's not even doing that.

I don't remember Kaprizov called a future superstar at 17. A promising player for sure, but he was never regarded as highly as, say, Andrei Scechnikov and his OHL voyage.

I remember an article where he was compared to Sergei Makarov. Pretty solid comparison, I'd say.

If it's anything but give him all the money i'll have a sad.

I feel like everybody forgot about Kaprizov last year, good for him to come back. I hope a Minnesota franchise of some sport can finally find success.

he was very highly regarded before the draft. The excitement for him in Minnesota was pretty immediate. It was always down to the when/if him leaving Russia that seemed to be reason for his drop.

Fifth round draft pick. :p
I LOVE when a team snags a Superstar with a late round draft pick, Detroit Style LOL. It's more satisfying and fulfilling than the prototypical 1st OVERALL PICK IMO, and sure other reasons like the Russian Factor and poor scouting play a factor but I still stand by my opinon. I have way more respect for teams like the 2010s Bruins who all drafted their star players low. It's also one of the big reasons why Kucherov is my favourite all time player considering his draft pick.

It's one of the best little tidbits about any late round superstar player IMO. Like Gretzky going undrafted or Detroit's 89 draft.

FOREVER f*** Rebuilds

All my BE A PRO players in EA NHL are all Late Round DRAFT PICKS for that very reason LMAO, But I love what Kaprizov is doing.

Me too. It’s one of my favourite things. Losing to win is ridiculous. Players like this prove the draft is a crap shoot and I’ll always root for them. It also proves a point I was arguing in another thread that lots of players drafted outside of the top ten are worth talking about.
