The skillset we have an overrepresentation of is supposed puckmovers who are actually bad at it. If he's good at it, his kind is greatly lacking in Columbus.

He also didn't quit on the Blue Jackets, he's never been a Blue Jacket. I don't care if a guy chose to make himself a free agent coming out of college.

I forgot about the extra year, make it a 2nd+3rd and I'd do it. We're going to be short on LD next year anyways and he has the best analytic profile that we can pick up.

I literally said he was a career 54 point player, nothing disingenuous about that. Let's call him a 55-60 point player? Not exactly a huge difference.

I still say signing Laine to that deal was a huge mistake. Can't give 8.7M to a guy who doesn't contribute to winning hockey. That money should have been given to the best center they could get. Gudbranson deal is pretty smelly too.

I’m just saying that I would guess Columbus has a better shot at getting Horvat signed in the offseason than during the season.

Lot of contenders will be after Horvat so he’d have to give up a chance at the Cup to sign an extension with Columbus
