About 500k more than I would have liked. Either he's still a $4 million player in two years or he gets paid when big money comes off the books. Doing anything else but bridging him would have been dumb.

Dahlin, tkachuk and svech are the clear top 3. I think u can make an argument for miller, hughes or dobson from 4-6 in any order.
Exit: can probably make a case for Farabee as well in the 4-6 range.

Great job by the organization to get this contract under four even as a bridge. I have no idea how people thought that the team could possibly sign him to eight years for anywhere near four or five. The kid is going to cash in substantially in two years. Good contract in the short-term though
