Mad at the fact that he’s always injured. Would we be able to count on him for a 80 ish games? For a full playoffs run? I’m having more doubts than ever.

He had a great start last season but I believe his true upside may be showing. He has a great chance with Guhle out for an undetermined amount of time.Perhaps. But he's the best option we have right now. And I also think that too many have over estimated , unrealistically so, Struble's projected level of play/contribution.
see ya in the fallThat pretty much says 2-3 months atleast
what about Donald Audette or Richard Zednick?Landeskog is out because the cartilage in his knee is gone. I mean this sounds like it was serious but he's already out of hospital. A lacerated quad sounds like he was cut by a skate to me, not a muscle tear. If he tore his quad they'd say he tore his quad.
Cammalleri had a lacerated quad due to skate cut way back when. I don't recall how long he was out though. He did come back that year though.
Edit: looked it up, he missed 2 weeks but the cut wasn't too deep. It also happened vs the Jets!
That looks very very close to the tendons… hopefully not a full rupture cause if he needed tendon reattached that could be a 6-9 month recovery period
I'm not comparing the two.It wasn't that bad of a cut then. Guhle required surgery that's a far more serious injury.
which is fine - I enjoyed the push for the past 2 months.. showed grittiness and let the kids know they are knocking on the doorstep of playoffs.Welp there goes our season can’t replace a blue liner like guhle this year
not just saying this butwhich is fine - I enjoyed the push for the past 2 months.. showed grittiness and let the kids know they are knocking on the doorstep of playoffs.
This also shows just how important not overpaying players is (especially in todays NHL) where it seems injuries hit all teams. Injury "prone" players will need to settle for more reasonable contracts as they're reliability will always be in question.
We don't know the specific details of what happened to Guhle but Audette and Zednik both nearly died, I'd say those were probably more serious injuries. Audette got all the tendons in his arm sliced off and Zednik got his freaking throat slashed. Pretty sure Audette played in the playoffs that year though.what about Donald Audette or Richard Zednick?
Audette was never the same. He was tearing it up tho before that injury from what I remember. We don't know the specific details of what happened to Guhle but Audette and Zednik both nearly died, I'd say those were probably more serious injuries. Almost lost his arm. They haven't said anything about Guhle yet so I'm holding out hope it's just a cut and no tendon or ligament damage to the knee or anything like that.Audette was never the same. He was tearing it up tho before that injury from what I remember.
I mean most team losing their #1C would be in a very bad position. That's a terrifying thought for this team, and a big reason why I'm praying for a huge upgrade at 2C this summer.
We're almost at the point where we just assume we're getting 82 games out of Suzuki every season, but if the day comes where he misses significant time then we're going to be beyond f***ed. No offense to Dach/Dvoark, but that'd be one of the weakest 1C/2C combos ever iced if we were force to run that at any point.
Hope they fix the ignore function soon. His health s a huge concern for me. If he still has value, as much as it would suck, I'd try to trade him in the off season to upgrade on D. I don't think his body is build for a long NHL career.
