It doesn't say another about either one if you took a second to actually read it
You don't hear a lot of active players talking about potentially returning to a past club while they are currently playing elsewhere.

Well - you can't really return somewhere unless you are already somewhere else. You don't hear a lot of active players talking about potentially returning to a past club while they are currently playing elsewhere.

I didn't forget anything. Same as you are saying now. Kadri would have been the difference between success and failure. So get rid of the difference that would have lead to success! How has that worked out? Pretty good for the Avs!The revisionist theory with Kadri in Toronto is hilarious. You're right he wasn't the only playoff failure, but you're conveniently forgetting he went and got suspended his first playoff with the Avs, and should've again the next year too.
Nazem Kadri only cares about Nazem Kadri. He's only real good season was when it was time to get paid
He was asked, about possibly returning "someday" and "in some capacity".... and his response was "who knows?" then proceeded to say he wouldn't rule it out. That's about as close to a non-answer, answer as you can get on a question one could interpret as him even returning post-retirement.You don't hear a lot of active players talking about potentially returning to a past club while they are currently playing elsewhere.
This is a pointless quote. The other CGY thread is taking about the Flames ADDING a center, not giving one away. They aren't trading Kadri.
And Toronto doesn't need another high priced C, with Matthews and Tavares. They aren't trading for Kadri.
This is as relevant and interest as hearing that Jesper Bratt isn't closing the door on playing for Anaheim one day. Why would he? Who cares?
The issue is the Flames aren’t going to eat $20 million+ of salary for a 2nd round pick or some other mediocre compensation. That’s not Edwards’ MO.It's not so much just adding a centre, it's adding an age-appropriate centre that fits our youth focus.
Hot take is that Kadri won't be a Flame by Christmas 2025. There's only so much losing a player on the back 9 of their career can take.

And no one is going to pay Kadri’s full contract.
I don’t see him getting traded until he’s closer to the end of his deal. Unless Kadri wants to void his contract but I don’t see that happening.
This is exactly like the Zadorov to Toronto stuff last year.
Toronto media: would you like the play in Toronto?
Player: sure, I guess
Toronto media: START PRINTING JERSEYS. HES COMING!!!!
