Of the 3 kids his all around game is clearly the best. Played PK minutes tonight. Even if he only ever tops out at 50-60 points, he’ll be an all situations horse like Kreider has become
His passing will get him to near 70 points. I can see 25-45 somehow next season. His passes are crispy. Hot and on the tape. If he begins to rip shots, he'll be a PPG guy.

The kids used to be incompetent on odd man rushes. Hesitance, fumbling the puck, off target or smothered passes. Now when they see an opportunity their eyes light up, they get a burst into the open ice and they almost aways connect on the royal road pass. Credit to Gallant, Ortmeyer and Glass.

Him And Laf are quietly going PPG while Chytil gets all the attention for his goal scoring. This is awesome
If Chytl could pass half as well as Laf or Kakko, they’d have a lot more goals too. For a second I thought Chytl actually passed to Kakko for that goal yesterday. Nope. Deflected shot.

They can’t all be pretty. And I like the fact that he’s shooting a lot. The other two kids should take notes and start firing.

They have had 8 game streaks like this before. Their keys will be eliminating the 7 game scoreless streaks that have followed so far in their careers.

And GG needs to not throw the lines in the blender if they have one off game. Keep them together rest of season, give them big minutes and more PP time. Let them work it out. All 3 of these kids are absolute studs and I have zero doubts at this point.

I feel like if 3rd assists was a thing...

The kid is a catalyst for starting scoring chances. His situational awareness and puck control tight and stretched reminds me alot of Zuccarello in some aspects.

Would be nice if he could score 23 points in the last 30 games to reach 50 points for the year. I know it's just stat watching, because he's played great for most of the year but it would leave little doubt that he could be a 60-70 point guy next year.

Here
Kakko rarely has an off game anymore.
I’m not sure if he’s had more than 3 all season. Very consistent

And man, if he just figures out when to pull the trigger after finding himself in the slot he’ll take the next step.

But honestly I don’t think it matters. He’s a play driving possession player. He’s back checking and breaking up plays in all zones. Pking well. He’s been very valuable and the points are coming now.

He’s been a 60+ point player since the Vegas game, 25 games - 0.76 ppg.

If the kids keep this tear up 15G-35A-50P isn’t out of the question. Not bad all things considered.

Him tracking as a 75pt two way beast in his prime is good value for a 2OA in a mediocre draft as far as I’m concerned.

That draft is going to be very good.
Hughes, Zegras, Boldy, Seider, Dach, Caulfield, Cozens …
Still lots of time for the other kids to develop.
