Didn't we sign MacIntyre?
The rumours that we claimed him off waivers were wrong. Too bad though, I wouldn't have minded him.

James van Riemsdyk will undergo surgery to repair a broken bone in his left foot on March 6 and is expected to miss four to six weeks, according to Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren.
Chronology, March and April 2012:
March 1 -- Blocked a shot vs. NYI and did not return.
March 6 -- Had surgery due to a broken bone in his left foot; out 4-to-6 weeks.
March 8 -- Was placed on the LTIR.
March 26 -- Was seen at a home game still in a walking boot.
April 6 -- Visited doctor for possible cast removal.
April 9 or 10 -- First day of skating.
April 14 -- Met with media after skating. From Tim P. @ CSN: "JVR is still wearing protective gear, such as a shell on his left skate boot during practice, and has a modified walking boot. In other words, while he is skating, he is likely not at 100 percent. Yet."
April 17 -- Skated at practice on rotating lines. One set included JVR, Read and Rinaldo.
April 19 -- Practiced on a line with Read and Voracek. A possibility of return for Game 5 at Pittsburgh.
April 20 -- Removed from LTIR.
Can we get him steel toed skates?
Seth Jones here we come!
**** Komi can you do anythign right? What a guy!
I'd much prefer Orr over Brown.
Brown is ****ing useless. I can't understand why people like him. He threw a huge hit in game 1 last year against the Habs, and then did next to nothing the rest of the season. He skates fast and does nothing else.
Orr can scrap anyone. He's intimidating. You don't want to have to answer to big Colton.
Mackinnon is the bigger need
Maybe JVR will consider a skate shield if he's going to be blocking shots.
or Komisarek could hit the net?

Who's gonna play for the Leafs when Connolly, Liles, JVR, Lupul are all injured?

Maybe Randy Carlyle can pretend it's 1981 all over again.
