It's very rare to see this kind of statistic but a goalie with such a high efficiency percentage and being with a team at the bottom of the overall standings. Juuse Saros deserves a star for trying to keep Nashville's predators in a never-ending race.

Those aren't elite, but given that Nashville is last, or close to it those are some really nice stats.

I don't think the teams full of suck in the DPE had a goalie with stats like that if they were not performing well..

Saros is a top 5 goalie according to analytics, his save% is low because his team bleeds high danger chances against.

I assumed in relation to standings

How often do you see the worst team in the league with that level of goaltending?

There's so much parity in the league that the difference between bad and average teams isn't that big. For example, with 4 more points Nashville would be tied for 20th in the league and 6 points more they'd be league average.

It's more than likely if they keep getting this level from Saros they won't be last place by the end of the year, but who knows. This is the first year in awhile when there aren't a couple of teams that are much worse than the pack. Kinda crazy that 4 points separates 20th-32nd place.

He's definitely gotten back on track in the last couple of weeks. Prior to that he was a bit rough too, which isn't surprising because he is normally a slow starter. If we got a coach that had a clue we would be in much better shape.

Preds have been blessed to have back to back elite goalies. Saros has been impressive this season given the barrage of quality shots he faces most games. Hard to say how good his stats would be if the Preds had a coach who could get get his head out of his ass and implement a system based on the roster's strengths and weaknesses. Come on, Barry, get the hatchet out!

Back to back elite goalies? They had Vokoun before Rinne, and he was elite in his own right.

Nashville has been spoiled by elite goaltending their entire existence.

Yeah I don't think people realize how good he is, he's up there with Helly and Shesterkin and he's a workhorse as well.
