Braz is wasted on the 4th line. It's about like calling up a skilled guy from Providence and sticking him on the 4th line. That's the 1980s development model.

Yep, 3rd line PP specialist is what he needs to be
He's wasted, and he makes the 4 th line worse because it eliminates the speed factor the line has

I compare him to Nick Paul of TBL.
Both are big guys.Hard workers. May not be the most nimble on their feet but positions themselves well.
Brazeau averages maybe 10 to maybe 12 minutes a game.
10g 10a for 20 pts. He also has to contend with mostly the unimaginative Frederic as a centerman.
Paul averages 18 -20 minutes a game and 14 g 14a for 28 pts.
Oh and Paul also makes 3.1 million a year.
JB....775,000.00 a year
With a bit more ice time and a little bit more talent at center Braz can put up much larger numbers

Please God, no extension, but Brazeau's lackluster play seems to be taking care of that.
You'll get like a 4th or a 3rd maybe - I think on an offense that is actually well built he would be worth a lot more to us on the 3rd line, and I doubt his contract is going to be that much either

i don't get his usage lately at all. his lack of speed makes the 4th line worse. should be net front on PP2.
i guess wahlstrom is taking his minutes on the 3rd line now.

Not really good enough for the top 2 lines.
The 3rd line isn't really good enough in the other direction for him to be effective as he's a pretty much a total complimentary player, needs the right linemates and Bruins don't have the depth to offer him that in Boston. If a team had a couple stronger offensive players to be able to dress them on the 3rd line I think he could compliment a line like that but hard to find a team that deep.
Kinda limits the 4th line as he won't score with two grinders, isn't fast enough to be a forechecking presence, bit of a liability in his own end so you have to watch who the 4th line gets defensively.

Seemed to me Frederic played his best this season when on a line with Brazeau.
Since move to the 4th line, Brazeau hasn't put up any points. Yet he's still 6th on the team in goals scored. With much less ice time.

He's 9th on the team in even strength goals and played most of his season with Lindholm and Marchand

Well said. He really doesn’t have a role other than 13th forward. Not skilled enough/fast enough to play in top 9. Not physical/fast enough to play on 4th. He can fill in anywhere if needed but playing him night in and night out is an indictment on how poor the roster is. Like the kid but he is what he is.
I like the player but I don't like how he fits into the lineup. There's too much redundancy - big, hard working guys who have slow feet. They're too slow to collect the puck in the defensive half boards when the puck gets rimmed around by the opponent as they extend the play. They're too slow to get open in transition for the defense. They're too slow to be the terrors on the forecheck that this team was hoping for in training camp. They don't have enough skill to create their own openings or get around stick checks to create shots. The reliance on offense revolves around Zacha/Pasta creating something while the rest of the lines push the puck towards the goal line net in hopes that they can create enough chaos around the net.
