In all fairness his play has improved dramatically and the production is lagging behind a bit. Considering how bad our forward group is I’d he can get to 40 point tha would be good enough progress on that front for me. If he doesn’t get there I would be a bit disappointed, but if his game is improving that’s what matters.

He's doing well playing on the first line next to Suzuki-Caufield, that's good enough without resorting to false praise.

Slafkovsky at 19 is making Suzuki better. That's a nice feather in his cap.

All the signs were there even from back in October if one knew how to assess them.

This kid is a beast. He dominates in all 3 zones and has incredible vision, skill and hockey sense/IQ, whatever you want to call it. Just needs a little refining. And for his teammates to start utilizing his special skills better (Matheson) and some tweaking on his release. He's going to make us forget Cooley, Nemec or Shane "the stare" Wright exist. Just think...a 19 year old, 6'3" 240lb BEAST of a player. I still pinch myself....

Slaf is doing all the right things and it seems like routinely he is our best player. He is consistently on the score sheet these days. That offensive breakout game of 3 to 4 points in a game is on the horizon.

He was a key component on two goals he didn’t get assists for. He’s getting better and better. If ever he starts shooting, watch out.

Well the good thing is 90% of his game is really good now. Just needs to learn to set his feet to shoot. I get why they won't pass to him on the pp yet.

Just fix that last part and we're golden.

I remember when Laraque said we had to trade Slaf for Dubois during last season because Slaf would never be better than what he showed.

Playing with Slafkovsky will require Suzuki to shoot more. Slaf likes to get the puck and pass it quickly. In a way, this is why Slaf is such a good compliment for Nick and Cole. He does the dirty work, offensively and defensively, and can pass like a pro.

Playing amazing. Last missing piece is his shot. When he was on the PP and walked in alone vs the goalie just to throw the puck back to the point I yelled at my TV lol.
