I've never seen Slaf make a play like this tbh,

Look at him walking down the middle like a big boy. :eek3:

Slaf and Caufield both knew what they were doing. Slaf with the accurate no look pass to Caufield who himself made that sick play. This is why its good to have three young players grow together. None of them are perfect, but they mesh together and Suzuki's the glue between them.

Just for future reference, when Slaf does actually have a great game or games (which should likely be tonight, given that it's game 3, Bell Center, playoffs at home).

Please spare the "OMG I told you so's" because, if anything the people who are actually being realistic about Slaf's current play should be the ones saying that to you.

We know he's still very young, we also know he's going into his 4th season, and we know based on the flashes we've already seen, we know he can do better, we know he can go a gear, or two, or 3 higher and bring out the beast and unleash that. He still at times plays too passive, too timid, he still floats around, some bad decisions, etc, etc, etc.

So when that day comes, please remember while you were supporting mediocrity and the status quo, we were supporting the pursuit of excellence.
Sanctimonious, pompous, and just corny af 😂

Goal per game player in home playoff games...

Kid was drafted in part because they believed in his big game chops.

Looking like a pretty good assessment thus far 😁

Suzuki would be a 70 pts player without Slafkovsky and Caufield.

Suzuki benefit a lot more than them.

Slaf+Caufield would generate the same production and maybe more without Suzuki.

His goal was maybe the most amount of him actually skating with the puck I have seen. Nice to see he might be getting some confidence, we need him to be physical and dominate along the boards and in front of the net. Big night for him.
Exactly what I was thinking. We've seen confidence and indecision share the same space in Slaf's head throughout the season. A flash of dominance here, a deer caught in the headlights there. But tonight, his confidence took over and pushed through whatever was in his way. What a game!! I'll have what he's having...
