Hes not coasting. Hes trying to analyze the game. His processing is super slow.

Im not sure MSL is the best coach for him. Its hard for lower IQ players to be coached by high IQ players.

Honestly, give me a physical 60 point Slaf (25 goals) and I’d say yes. I’m fine with that. I’m hoping this year is just an off year.
 
I could see Slaf getting a lot of points on the second unit on the half wall with his one timer. Especially if Suzuki (and Hutson) keep playing on both units.

Exactly.

I feel bad all these accusations that it's an effort thing for him. He's not Tkachuk but the problem is his read of the game more than hustle. He's not able to keep up with the game.

That said, his place on the first line after tonight...

Can a package around Slaf++ net us an elite 2C?

I said before (like many others), the 3 core pieces are Nick, Lane and Demidov… I’d really like to keep Caufield tho, he can score the puck.

This is why he needed time to cook in the AHL.

Instead they have coddled him since Day 1, and here we are.

He needs to increase his hockey IQ. He's reminding me of a big Chad version of AK46. Even has the spurts of physicality down. There's time to improve so hopefully he grinds it out with the high iq guys.
