The Olympics too man!!! The ugliest goals of all time 😂

I've been impressed by Slafkovsky's play since the 4 Nations. More physically engaged and sharper with the puck. He seems to be playing much stronger and bullying guys off the puck more. I'd like to see his development continuing in this direction.

This physical aspect of his potential was one of the main reasons we drafted him. We need him to physically dominate on the wall and down low, come away with the puck and body position advantage, and make the play that's there. He seems to have a pass first tendency, but if he comes off the wall with the puck and body position advantage on his check, there should always be at least one good option whether it's a pass, shot, or taking it hard to the net to create a net front scramble.

Gone to sleep again, missed a couple of opportunities to thump someone and passed up the chance.

I've been a huge Slaf defender the entire time, but this type of play is completely inexcusable. Just complete laziness, no compete, no effort, no drive. St Louis needs to periodically bench him every game he plays like this.

Jeez...he is so bad tonight.

Awful

Soft, lazy..always late on the plays
Set up Caufield and Suzuki at least 3 times each.

Is he the only player on the team that gets his thread bumped after every game ?

Slaf wasn't nearly as bad as described here. He was average.

How about veteran superstar Laine being a complete bitch the whole game ?
Or Suzuki not timing his passes.

Are you going to come here every 4 four games where Slaf played average here and there ? nobody in the league is consistent for 82 games, that's not possible, especially not at 20 years old. Not even McDavid or Crosby are consistent for 82 games. Was Slaf the sole reason the Habs lost tonight ? Hell no... I could count at least 6 forwards worst then him tonight. Just chill and and enjoy him next game when he is back to beast mode once again.

at least 6 forwards were worst than him. He was average tonight and could have finish with 2 points with some luck. Get out of here troll.

Ah yes someone disagrees so they're a troll lmao
He had enough drive and compete to be the guy who created the most chances tonight.

There’s an opinion and there’s over- exaggerating when there was guys who were actually bad you could look at or talk about.

He needs a skating coach
And start hitting
2nd most hits on the habs tonight.

I think he has the 2nd most hits on the Habs this season....
People are too reactive based on points or single plays....

People upset with the criticism, it's going to start getting worse when he gets his money next year.

I've actually been surprised with how patient the majority of fans have been but that's all going to end soon when there is money involved.

The way he's been playing since the break is the way I expected him to play all year. If he'd started this way I'd be thrilled with his season.

Better late than never.

I would absolutely be defined by the majority here as a hater, and I found him simply to be unnoticeable for the most. Far from his worst game.

People who drool over him and themselves into a lather over unbiased assessment and the slightest critiques regarding his performance and development are not helping his case.

In his fourth year as an NHL player, many of the other excuses will have to fade away as well.

Nah, he’ll be only 22 or whatever. And the year after he’ll be only 23. And after that? He’ll be only 24.

We’ve done this with other prospects before, we know the rhetorical dance.

We all want him to be good, reliable, and an asset to the team. It’s absolutely fair to say he shouldn’t be over-analyzed because he’s one player of many. But I only see this gripe from @Andy after Slaf has a bad game. After his good games over-analysis (over-hype) is perfectly fine! The haters need to eat their crow for ever stating that Slaf has not played well at any point previously!
