Player Discussion Juraj Slafkovsky discussion

Anyways whatever detractors are saying about Slaf he tells to himself twofold at night in his bed, guy's got a shit attitude when it comes to his own game despite his natural cockiness  He's well aware of what he needs to do to be successful
In my line of work we call feedback necessary and don’t call those giving it detractors, but otherwise I have to agree, because he’s noticeably much better and habs have a full 1st line again.

I am officilly giving Slaf a new chance, I like what Ive seen from him lately. To me it seems like he might hit his assumed ceiling if he puts it all together at some point, otherwise he can just keep playing the same style he has played lately and he will imo be worth his contract as a whole. He is a win-win the way I see him as of now.
Laine is one of the rare big guys that makes it on skills alone from day one. Laine can score so easily from so far that strength and power are a secondary subset to his game. By contrast, while Slaf had enough skill and speed to get him in the NHL very young he was drafted as a power forward and to exploit this side it really starts at 21. It will happen simultaneously with the opening of our Cup window. Like Neely at 25 years old, when Slaf will have the puck in the last 20 feet around the net he’ll be just too heavy, strong and massive to move.

Saw that on the goal too! I said to my son that Allen must have had snow in his eyes or got distracted.

Caufield and Suzuki should ask Slaf to do that more often!
Isnt it unprofessional? I mean, in old times, Stu Grimson would beat him this idea off head.... :naughty:
