Player Discussion Juraj Slafkovsky discussion

Don't make this about me, man. I'm not a character and the board doesn't need me to be a character. Please stop tagging me in things like this.

If he can shoot the puck more like he has been lately, it makes a big difference.

His shot is slow to get off and that's always going to limit its upside but he needs to learn how to get it off, as good things do happen when he shoots. It could be the difference between him making it as a top 6 player or not.

We don't need him to be a sniper but when he was averaging 1 or less shots a game at times this season it was not acceptable for a player of his pedigree.

Total points players before 21 years old in the Montreal Canadiens history:

1) Mario Tremblay: 112
2) Alex Galchenyuk: 93
3) Juraj Slafkovsky: 88
4) Henri Richard: 87
We gonna need some hot Slaf games to beat Mario Tremblay before april.
Won't be easy but doable.
Oh wait there's 2 weeks off for 4-nation damn ...
VERY VERY hot games then!!
Just make the count: 25 points in 23 games.
Almost had that pace at the same time last years.
He's having a bit less ice-time because there's a 2nd line/option available this years tho.

Incredible work along the boards prior to the first goal. Twice. Just pushed away the opposition player like nothing. Do it more, pls.
1st goal- 2 huge board battle wins
2nd- drives the net, sprays Jacques Allain with 6 feet snow shower
3rd- drives the net right after faceoff and Allain could not see a lot.

What's crazy is Huston might be able to beat slaf if he beats it, and then he's gonna hold demidovs beer as he obliterates it.

This stat is kinda meaningless since players were drafted at 19yo for a while.

Any poster who's unable to admit that Slafkovsky has been playing very good hockey in the last month or so should not be taken seriously. His ability to win battles to the puck has been huge on both sides of the ice lately
yeah, go tell that to ReHabs dude... He still dreams about Shane Wright in a Habs jersey...

You guys are sad.

Is good! Is bad! nothing between haters and lovers, no-one can actually talk about his shortcomings or describe his game.

Before you label me one of two things (there are only two, am I right?) - he’s playing so much better, he belongs on the 1st when just flying and making plays.

If he reverts to trying to anticipate before reacting he’ll go back to sucking.

I’m hoping he keeps up this type of play.

I am officilly giving Slaf a new chance, I like what Ive seen from him lately. To me it seems like he might hit his assumed ceiling if he puts it all together at some point, otherwise he can just keep playing the same style he has played lately and he will imo be worth his contract as a whole. He is a win-win the way I see him as of now.

Good thing there aren’t any as much as imaginary ennemies are cool to feed the Don Quixotte on here lol.
Anyways whatever detractors are saying about Slaf he tells to himself twofold at night in his bed, guy's got a shit attitude when it comes to his own game despite his natural cockiness  He's well aware of what he needs to do to be successful
