JT Miller has missed a total of 5 games since he became a Canuck in 2019. 5 games. True heart and soul player. If hes not playing, then it’s serious. Whatever it may be, i hope he gets the help he and or his family needs.

The big issue is will Tocchet play the players coming back after he blocked a Necas trade. He talked to his buddy Brind'mor and he had Necas issues so Tocchet didn't want him and he isn't exactly a low event boards guy.

because maybe, knowing jt’s head was somewhere else, he was just being tight-lipped knowing something was going on behind the scenes to not have to divulge something the player didn’t want him divulge?

Clearly something wasn't right.

Speculation initially was an injury. While that may still be the case to a certain degree, there is clearly more to it.

But thankfully they are not trying to "just let it sort itself out" and he can focus on what he needs to truly deal with whatever it is.

Time for others to step up. EP-Suter-Blueger-Raty down the middle for now.

No additions until they know where they stand. This is the reality of the sports world. Things can change on a dime, especially with players taking personal time to deal with off ice matters.

Canucks really don't have much in terms of UFA. Boeser, Suter, Forbert, Juhlson, Brannstrom, Lankinen, If the NHL gms get confirmation of the cap going from what most expected at $92.5 mill to $95 mill, they may be more willing to add someone with term for next season.

But, going to be a challenge for the canucks without Miller, Boeser, Demko.

i'm usually not very sympathetic to injury excuses for poor team performance but if the canucks lose demko to a weird knee thing, boeser to a concussion and miller to a long term injury you can't really expect much from this roster

That being said, interesting the narrative post game was that JT could handle the benching, whereas someone like Petey wouldn’t be able to cope with it. When you look at it temporally, it seems like the benching was the tipping point and it makes you wonder if Tocchet really has as great an insight in to the psyche of his players as we all think he does.

I am getting serious 2007-08 vibes about this season. After an unexpectedly good year that marked the team's re-emergence as a contender, expectations are high and nothing ever quite gets settled... the early results are okay but lacking something, then injuries hit and the wheels fall off.

Just feels a bit too familiar.

I thought the same the other day. I remember in training camp Luongo saying something along the lines of wishing he could "skip the regular season and get right back to the playoffs".

JT is the type of guy that would play with a broken leg and not complain about it, the medical staff couldn’t even convince him to take a game off when he was injured, I hope everything is OK with JT & his family, thoughts & prayers going out to the Miller family, hope JT returns soon he’s our best forward and is the heart & soul of this franchise.

I think that’s reasonable, but I think the only thing arguing against this line of thinking is how blunt he was in his post game interview. I don’t think he would have thrown JT under the bus with the “I played the guys who I thought would help us win” comment. If he knew JT was dealing with something, you probably answer that in a different way.
