I dont get it.
When Miller returned to the lineup after his problems Canuck fans gave him an incredible amount of love.
And the way hes played recently its like he didnt care about any of that.
What is his problem
No one really knows. But he does look like he’s going through the motions out there. The fire is gone.

Hydration is everything.
Especially for goalies and spending a lot of time in airplanes.
But not this for Miller.

I am starting to feel sympathy for the guy.
He got raked through the coals on that one dump in.
BUT
Where was the goalie slapping the stick warning the players that a penalty was ending?

While Miller did try to dump the puck in the corner there was two Canucks down deep and there should not have been without the puck and the penalty ending.

Wouldn't be the first time we've seen stars suddenly go from elite players to absolute bums.

Miller does share a lot of qualities with Bertuzzi. That guy would disappear for months and sulk the whole time.

At his age, with his personality, and with that contract, I'd move him in a heartbeat. I'm not going to speculate about his locker room likability, but players like him get old real quick with the rest of the team. Regardless, you can't have one of your key guys acting like that because it causes discontent amongst the entire organization.

JT Miller not starting on PP1 cost us the 1st period. Miller, Pettersson, Boeser, Hughes - these 4 should always be on PP1 (no exceptions). Not having Miller out on the 1st 2 power plays really killed team’s energy, 0 shots halfway through the 1st with 2 brutal power plays blown. Miller seemed upset at this lack of respect, took a couple plays off defensively and didn’t seem as enthusiastic and engaged. Got put back on PP1 later in the game lol.

Should of traded him right after the COVID seasons when he showed his true colors and was barely trying out there. Truly mind boggling. You get benched or tossed from your team if you act like this in peewee let alone the NHL.

Rutherford and Alvin dug us into a severe hole.

How many PPs have we seen Miller single handedly kill lately with his awful cross ice passes into sticks?

You can't just let him do that forever and think it's OK. His replacement may not improve things much, but you can't just leave it.

How did the powerplay look without him? Lol

Could you imagine the Oilers moving Draisaitl away from PP1 because of a couple months of sub par play for Leon?

The vibes look a lot like 9 and 40 just cant play together and co exist right now and everyone around them is getting dragged into the sewer

Everytime drama has happened with Miller this year it's been on the heels of getting benched or demoted or singled out. Is he overreacting and being a baby.... yes he is. Piss poor leadership yes

Thing is though when you start a game and leave the top guy on the bench what kind of disrespect is that for what someone has accomplished and is still capable of? It's a dangerous game that Tocchet had backfire a few times this year.

When i saw it my immediate reaction was WTF is Tocchet doing here. 4 minutes no shots and an obviously pissed off Miller to start. Well done?

EP and Miller are killing penalties together, and having the occasional lotto line shift, during these splits on the PP. Don't think it has anything to do with them personally.

This coaching staff is just completely clueless regarding the PP. It's been a huge problem, for so long. It really can't be stressed enough. No team is going anywhere without a competent PP. You won't win any playoff series, there are a ton of penalties in the early rounds.

This team can't even get a shot, not even an attempt. All with the best defenseman in the world.

Well when one takes a leave of absence (likely) due to mental health issues it might not be possible to simply turn on the switch.

yeah the power play isn't personnel it's system. maybe the canucks don't have the ideal group for the power play (they're missing a shooter on the wings imo) but they have enough skilled players they should at least be in the upper third of the league

He has completely tarnished all the goodwill he’s built with the fan base in the matter of 3 months. Actually quite nuts when you think about it. This will be a significant piece of Canucks history when we look back. Coming out of the playoffs I would’ve said there was a good chance of Miller ending up in the ring of honour. Now? no chance.
