Not good news about Miller, this is the last player Canucks need out of the lineup, but he needs to be in the right state of mind, so hopefully he can deal with whatever it is.
I read this in another chat, but someone mentioned how him and his wife don't follow each other on IG anymore, I'm not saying this is the problem, but just pointing out someone noticed this.

He still follows his wives interior decorating business. Also I don't know how much stock to put into it, because Demko and Miller don't follow each other. (Not saying you're putting stock into it.)
The team isn't saying much but the local guys found out it's not related to the any kind of substance issue.
Something is fishy... my wife follows her on Instagram, and this morning she posted she was in Mexico, and then her Instagram was deactivated.
I hate to speculate, but Miller doesn't strike me as a guy who would force his way out, and he's a warrior who plays through injuries.
Whatever the reason, I hope he takes all the time he needs. His mental health is far more important than any W or L.
this was the best case scenario. did he deserved the benching i think so but whatever is ailing him it affected his on ice performance. let him reset and deal with whatever is going on privately on his own. hockey players are HUMAN beings. he has 3 young kids as well. get well soon millsy. whenever he comes back he'll be in a better state of mind to solely focus on "hockey". so his caphit still counts against the canucks salary cap for however long he is out for right? if someone can clarify on this situation?

Yep I agree. He very clearly needs this time to reset/recover/rest, whatever it may be.
Hope he takes whatever time he needs and when he does return, it's on his own terms and he's back to himself.
And yes, he still counts against the cap, because otherwise players who are older and want to retire but still get paid could "sit out" and exploit the CBA.

I don't know exactly, just what I read from some other people, supposedly the new speculation is she shut down her IG, but again not sure if that has anything to do with it. Obviously he's dealing with something and not substance related, just hope he gets better.

They’ve been trying to unload Trouba.
Trouba and Miller are paid the same and a similar age…
They are probably hoping we are willing to make a desperation move.
Maybe they forgot we changed GM’s a couple seasons back.

He seems like he absolutely loves Tocchet (and vice versa).
—it seems like him and EP40 just tolerate one another: is that a reason to request a trade?
Doesn’t seem like it…
…Especially given that at the time he left the team, EP40 still very much sucked, and if we are in fact in ‘win now’ mode, JTM would have been the easy guy to pick if you had to choose one of the two.
But, if you still think he can be had, the ask will be sky high.
Sure he will be older for the last couple years of his contract but he’s the type of guy that could make a bunch of teams very legit Cup contenders if they added him to their playoff roster.
So, you’d have to expect to give up significantly more than you’re thinking you can acquire him for.
