True heart and soul player. When he has a bad game he apologizes to Tocchet and lets him know he was bad. He’s truly his hardest critic.

He’s only missed 7 games since he’s become a Canuck. Hes battled through a ton of injuries and if he’s taking a leave of absence, then it’s something serious happening in his life.

I bet he's training with Liam Neeson to develop a certain set of skills in case his daughter is ever abducted by human traffickers.

It would be fair to say that Miller has "looked off" for the whole year, with a lot of people speculating that he has been dealing with an injury. While Tocchet made it clear that Miller was not benched because of injury, it should also be made clear that JT has been "off" for a long time now. So no, the benching is not the cause. It might have been the culmination of the issue, which now sees him taking time off.
He had a solid first few games

If something happened in the coaches office after the game, ie it got physical or a verbal argument that crossed lines. Maybe they decided it was best to give him leave.
Personally I hope its a coach/player issue and not something worse like addiction or mental health
That’s a very wide speculation brush you’re painting with there

JT is an absolute warrior, I really hope everything gets worked out, and hope it’s nothing too serious

"please no speculation"

-> every other post is speculating.

Either way, this is going to hurt the Canucks' playoff chances.
