  • We're expecting server maintenance on March 3rd starting at midnight, there may be downtime during the work.
Considering what Miller went for I doubt that was the offer from the Avs, if there even was one, they are going to keep Ritchie.
Maybe management valued more cap space, a much faster forward, and a draft pick more than Ritchie. Also seeing how it says Miller shut down the trade, it's also possible that the management preferred that more than what the Rangers offered.

He doesn’t look in the mirror in regards to his criticisms of others play

Tough to know for sure, but that’s definitely my impression. You can’t preach hard work and defensive responsibility when some of your shifts look like Miller’s look. Lost all respect for my HS captain when he talked short shifts and D, then hung out at center ice for 5 minutes. Losing followed us, as it does Miller.

Maybe who knows and at the end of the day it really doesn't matter.

Here is Miller's 25/26 year old season ... He is a player that more than doubled his production after becoming 26. And at that point, her had played more than 400 games

75 gp 12 g 34 a 47 pts

Now do the literal thousands of other players who inform the bell curve of NHL offensive productivity. One player does not change overwhelming probability, nor does it inform a trend. That’s like saying you expect 39 year olds to start scoring 0.7 goals per game because some guy in Washington is doing it this season, never mind that most NHL careers are long over by that age - Ovechkin did it once!

He is a big outlier but nothing is impossible.

I would never use Miller's career to project someone else's career through, it's pretty rare to see

If it came down to a street fight I’d put my money on miller assuming they met up 1 v 1 one to settle the beef

JT Miller? The guy who punched himself in the face during his 4 Nations fight?

I think most of the western conference is happy about this.

JT miller is good enough that he’s a problem every time you have to deal with him.

Avs fans if the trade happened:

“JT is an amazing player, perfect fit. We love his tenacity. Him and Mack will bring that feistiness to the locker room that you need to win a cup. We’re the favourites in the west easily now.”

Avs fans now that the trade didn’t happen:

“JT is a locker room cancer, so glad we didn’t get him! Guy is a bozo loser! All his teammates hate him!”
