I think this is the reason for the low goal totals. Just tons of perimeter play. Sure it looks good on the fancies sometimes but it doesn't translate to actual goals.

Of course in this game it doesn't look good on the fancies either. Just terrible hockey.

When we were 6 on 5 for like 2 mins it was stunning how often we would have control with zero players in the middle of the hash marks.
