That third pairing. Oh my. Hope they see very little ice time tonight. :scared:

Despite that, I'm predicting a 6-4 win.

The top6 player we're missing could be replaced by a cereal box for all he's scored. Its telling perhaps that even old Perry looks more dangerous on that line than Arvid.

How is Arvid not back anyway. Didn't even notice how he got injured.

Well I'm not going to disagree with you on this, I've actually got into some heated debates on X about Arvidsson as all I'm seeing is a more expensive Yamamoto that's executing at an even worse pace the KY usually did.

The point I was trying to make was that sending a message in the form of a significant benching or scratch for RNH and Bouch as a show of accountability is cutting off your nose to spite your face particularly when we are already a bit shorthanded at players that provide similar roles. I'm fine with an in-game sit down similar to what Knob did with Drai if necessary, but not more than that.

Yep, which is a bummer for those who don't have Prime. Though, it is very easy to leech of someone who does have it as they don't really care about the multiple devices rule.
That does suck. I blame SN though. SN wants to charge for their hockey packages, yet cause they paid too much for the contract in the first place to monopolize hockey, they are now forced to sell some games to Amazon to recoup the investment. I shouldn’t say “forced” though, it’s just greed and spitting in the face of their customers. The Streaming services like Netflix and Prime are trying to get in on live services and probably paying a pretty penny to do so.

Speaking of depth guys, was pretty shocked looking at team stats and seeing the Janmark is tied for 3rd on the team for points amongst forwards. That's how bad it's been.
Maybe this year the depth forwards are saving the points for the playoffs instead of the other way around.

100% SNs fault. They know we still have to pay for their services to watch the rest of the games so they happily sell games because the only person that loses is the costumer.

I have prime and I hate SN but it’s greasy.

That Dermott-Brown pairing......I hope we don't say:

"What happened with those 2 tonight boys?"

'Well....the game began..."

Brown's likely 4th line RW (thank god). Though he'll also likely jump in on the PK with Ekholm, similar to how Vinny was used there.

Honestly I don't hate it, the Oil need some more size in the lineup with both Nurse and Kane out (and debatably even with Nurse in the lineup...).

With the current lineup they're barely accruing any cap space, but that seems to be the team's ultimate(only?) goal over the next few months. They better have a plan, or all this running a 20 (healthy) man roster is just going to be for s**ts and giggles.

Yeah. Worse than Yams for higher sticker price and locked in for two years for an org that is cap strung. This org can't help itself. Frankly I'd put Janmark up with Drai at this point. He's playing quite well.

Yeh that's why my boycott is still on. f*** Rogers. I will stream from any other source.

I have Prime too, I'm actually kind of excited to see a different take on Hockey Broadcast. The space has been stale for awhile, and TNT/ESPN didn't do much to help.

Glad to read Nurse isn't out for weeks, didn't think we'd see him return before christmas.
I guess outscoring our defensive woes is the way to go, hope Brown has a solid debut.

Go Oilers!

It does suck. Locked into a cable contract because the wife refuses to do without cable even though I'm fine with other streaming devices by now. So we get locked into the contract and what we pay for but the channels are allowed to sell of their content. When I cut cable I'm probably cutting sports alltogether. Trouble with the subcription streaming services is their all weak ass as well and selling out on their content. Same scam. Hey just sign up for 20subscriptions and you can watch all the dreck. Nah, not doing that.

Yup. Even in his worst Oiler season after graduating to the NHL he produced at a 0.4 point per game pace and 0.15 goal per game pace.

So far Arvidsson is putting up 0.13 goals per game and 0.31 points per game. Granted his sample size is small enough that if he got 1 goal and 1 assist in his next game he would immdiately close that gap, but so far he seems good enough to help get the line some chances up until the point Drai sets him up only for him to fan on the shot.

Each Prime telecast is making me care less and less about the NHL. People can do what they want but watching this one, or subscribing, it just ensures that more and more of the games are going to be relegated to subscription streaming.

The Prime telecasts this season are a trial balloon to see how much more people are willing to pay. Oh well.

I mentioned this in another thread, but this is a treat. Amazon’s production value makes SN look like public access TV. Sucks to have to pay but I feel like the majority of people have Prime anyways.

Heard the production was good. Will check it out. Can't be worse than SN.

Honestly the production is light years better than SN. Need better PBP and color commentators but otherwise its pretty good last game.

Interesting. So what if you pay for Sportsnet Premier ++ Elite Package or whatever. Still have to have Prime to watch it?

Yep. SN sold their rights to broadcast on Mondays to Amazon. I wonder if my leaf blower and 2 helmet stands I ordered 4 weeks ago that never showed up will be on their broadcast....

Beaucoup de dévotion dans ce préambule.
However the images you posted were not in French. Hon hon! Punition!

Now I am going to watch the game in Punjabi cuz radio-canada is too poor to pay for the French dubbing.

Bon match!

Montreal Smoked Meat is the bomb. I've been looking for one in Edmonton, can't find anything close.

Montreal Poutine a bit overrated.

I can't believe they SELL hockey packages that don't include all of the Hockey. What a joke. Yeh get out if you ever can lol.

I bought a giant pack of Montreal smoked meat at the Business Costco. Lasted a month and was genuinely surprised at the quality. There used to be a place in mayfield, I believe it was called Bugsy’s or something similar, but they made the best damn smoke meat sandwiches. Unfortunately they didn’t last long in that spot. The Sandwich Project is top notch though 45th Ave &97 St.
