(This is a joke to the original offer if you cannot detect my sarcasm, Forsberg is not even in same league as McDavid just as Bouchard isn’t as josi. Josi is 120 point defenseman on Edmonton, Bouchard is a 40 point dman on Preds if we are lucky)

Imagine if guys like makar and Bouchard weren’t on stacked teams. Josi does it on Preds with no superstars like McDavid or drai, or Mack and rantanen)
 
Don’t see why the Oilers do it. We looking to add RHD and not subtract. The oilers would also never consider shipping out the RHD who just put up records in the Playoffs. Bouch at this point is as much a part of the core of this team as Hyman, Ekholm, Nuge, Nurse etc.

He is and has been a major missing piece of the puzzle for this Cup contending team. No way they even consider moving him.
 
I have no confidence in Bouchard defensively and don't like his slow, lazy style of game but Josi is too old to make that deal. Bouchard has lots of good offensive years left.

That said, most of his value is in the years he's already played. He's 35 this summer and it's looking like time is starting to catch up to him. Part of the reason we need to keep Bouchard is that he's very good and only 25, so he should remain very good for quite some time. Locking in to a top four of the next three seasons with 35 year old Ekholm, 35 year old Josi, and 30 year old Nurse is a tough look - not to mention that Savoie is our only A level prospect.

Also, Bouchard has been lights out in the playoffs for us. I sincerely doubt we'd want to trade him for a guy 10 years older for a guy that hasn't been as good in the playoffs as Bouchard has.

I would pass. Politely, but firmly.

Ken Holland's boner could be seen from space if he was still GM, though.

Too low value for Edmonton. I have been told multiple times Savoie is a future 50 goal man alongside McDavid. He is probably enough value straight up.
 
Bouchard is about to get a gross contract for a very long time… yes he puts up a crap load of points playing alongside the 2 best players in the world but his defensive game is atrocious… him on Nashville would be a trainwreck of an idea. He won’t put up near the amount of points and his defensive game will still be awful.

Just not a good idea contract wise at all for Preds to do this

He scored lots, which is all he is good at and that's what is role is. Still slow and bad defensively. Probably 5-10 d-men in the league could be as good offensively as Bouchard is on the Oilers if they got to play with McDavid's line most of the time and quarterback the Oilers powerplay. They would also skate better and be better defensively.

It's a much worse idea for Edmonton. Sinks our future and honestly doesn't do much for us in the present, either. It's just getting older for the sake of getting older.
 
usually if you propose a trade, and both sides don't like it, it means that the value is pretty equal and fair. But, somehow I proposed a deal where both fanbases hate it, and both fanbases feel the value is way off, and not fair at all.

Have I created the worst trade proposal of all time?

This is HFBoards. It probably wasn’t even the worst trade proposal of the hour. And I don’t even think it was that bad, the value is just off for what each team is looking for right now. There are, have been, and will be FAR more egregious “proposals” here.
